Ok, for the last 5 or 6 days when I try to play it says that the server are temporary (yeah, right) down try later.

How much longer this "temporary" thing will last? 

Why do I have to be on live to play this game?  

I have another issue when I come on the Social Network and go to My Games and check my character, there is a bunch of them that won't appear, it says in the Profile Diagnostic Error 1002 and 1003 and it says something like:  no avatar/portrait image uploaded from the game to the on-line game server.

Ok, but what can I do about that?

I've tried communicate with the online service, but they're not much help.

There are still a number of bugs with this site and profiles updating. So you will have to wait and see if BW gets around to fixing them.

As to the server being down, you will have to try and figure out what is blocking it at your end as I have had no problems with the server all week.

How do I do that?

Edit (04-09-10):  I didn't do anything different today and it worked, that was about time, the first time in 6 days I didn't get the message about the servers.

I've had the same issues...haven't been able to play Dragon Age Origins for weeks. This is very disappointing. I've tried all the listed solutions, but since I'm unable to connect I can't re-upload my DLC. Never had a game I couldn't play before. I hope Bioware posts a solution soon, I've been a longtime fan...but at this point I'd hesitate to buy another EA/BW game until they have a better system in place to communicate with their endusers...
