So i read this really short interview between this journalist and Casey Hudson.  The journalist seemed to have a vandetta against Miranda's sexuality.  So I  thought... is it really that bad?  So i went to do some research (hey!  I guess that makes me a better journalist them 50% of video game reporters!!)

Holywood thought the KIDS could handle George Clooney's nibbles just fine.

I must say that Alicia
Silverstone's batgirl suit was really a lot hotter.
http://superheroshow...bin-batman.html

How about Michelle
Pfeiffer's tight suit rear in Batman Returns:
http://lh6.ggpht.com...an_returns5.jpg

I don't even know how to describe the Na'vi of Pandora in the movie Avatar (rated PG-13)

Even Keira Knightly showed more cleavage in her chick flicks.
http://www.wildabout...atesPoster2.jpg

Better yet, even Picasso made saucier portrayals of the female form in his early days.

Seriously, dear Mrs. Lovett showed more skin than Miranda did:

Still, some adults have trouble with Miranda's
suit in an M-rated game!!  To help these poor souls, let's build an educational threads on the appearent acceptance level of the male/female form in art and entertainment.   Post examples! (though let's keep it kids friendly, so i guess that means no pictures of bare blue alien buttlocks please!!!)  Maybe through this, we can build a common consensus of what we are able to stomach in terms of sexuality in ME3. :D

It's the human body.

She's not stripping (unless you romance her).

Hell, there's no cleavage.

They're worried about Miranda, but not Samara or Jack?

All this crap about nudity is ridiculous.

It's the damn human body.

They're not showing her fingering herself, she's just got a tight-fitting suit.

For some reason I got this picture in my head of  that dog saying "saucy" instead of "sausage".

I don't think it's so much that it's inappropriate on a censorship level, but more inappropriate in an "it's just plain stupid for her to fight in that getup and have close-ups of her ass" level.

The reason people are ranting about mature/controversial content in video games is that they don't take games seriously. And it's incredibly funny because even people who should (press and so called journalists) are assuming that video games were, are and always will be for kids... even if it's rated 18+...

If you have a movie that is rated as mature, parents won't take their kids to see it, but games? Who cares about ratings on games! Kid wants the game, kids gets the game. It's weird because serious people, who should back up their opinions with actual facts and knowedgle are making fools of themselves when they raid a video game because it shows blue sideboobs.

It's stupid fanservice. I don't think anyone can rationalize that kind of getup in any context.
As for multimedia in general, yes, it has a history of exploiting the female form.
-.

There is some pretty ironic stuff  in there. First, it's easy to rationalize. It's hard to feel threatened by a hot chick in rubber suit. You let down your guard, and bang, end up getting fragged. Or she could use it to influence people without the need of a gun at all.

And it is women who have historically exploited the female form. Don't get it twisted.

Right totally because most media is completely made by women.

I'm not saying females don't do their fair share of exploiting but the majority of it comes from men.

It's not bad. It's not stupid fan service. Miranda was designed to be a femme-fatale kind of character. Has this people who complain ever seen a movie with this kind of character? What way did they want her to look? Ugly? She was designed to be a character like this, and it's in her story as well. It's not like: "Ok, there's this black witch is supposed to look hot and we show she doing something sexy at every 10 seconds, but she's too tall, exaggerated and out of proportion to be hot. Her hair are her clothes and also her weapons. In her finishing moves her hair grow into super weapons and beasts and she gets naked while doing it. Awesome!"

It happens a lot on movies as well. I would like to ask the journalist if he found the shots at Megan Fox on Transformers 2 gratuitous too. Why is it a problem in games?

What is kind of shameful are the unnecessary camera angles on her ass. That for me is a fact. But it's a game and it happens only a couple times in the game, so it's not a big deal.

Where does Miranda ever use her looks to seduce a target? Oh wait-

Its just there for no real reason. Which is fine but those asshots in addition to being tasteless were frankly unnecessary. (No I have no problems with the character model I do have an issue with BW shoving it in your face.) And The comments made by Azel on that are spot on.

And how many times does he have asshots and boobshots like the other females?

His body isn't even that great for pete's sake. <_<

And Thane's exposed chest = Samara's so that evens out.

And no I don't mind Jack's outifit. Or Samara's.

"The other thing is there are so many different
kinds of players. We like to create all different kinds of characters so
that all different kinds of personalities of players that play our game
are able to identify differently."

Ah. Delicious irony Bio. Such delicious irony.

Ok, so there should be as much sexual imagery aimed at the women. That's a fair complaint. So please ask for it instead of complaining about our little treats.

BW is too stuck on their 15 year old "spolusion" and PG-13 action flick crowd. Ra forbid they actually place some gratituous asshots of males in. Poor little boy's head might explode. <_<

Handheld himself enjoys the eye candy it makes for compelling threads of whiney forumites who feel that there video game is to sexual.

Handheld laughs and cries for some of his forumites.

Boobshots of guys are... hard...

Yet, There is a boobshot of Jacob, you just gotta do his romance.

Oh btw, my post was ironic there. Don't we all love the internet. Anyway, you know what they say, sex sells. And, sadly, the majority of the gamer populace is Male, this might just be why there are slightly more ass shots (and burgershots sometimes) ingame.

Anyhow, if you truly believe Bioware is going off-limits with this, do complain civilly, it is your legal right to do so. As well, I do agree with you that they might have pushed the Samara/Jack/Miranda thing too far. I just can't help not feeling any wrong about it.

(disclaimer, I am not saying you do not complain civily)

Well as I said, that's a fair complaint. But lets not take on the "if I can't have it no one can" mentality. Becauze screw that, I, I want to see Miranda in a catsuit/her underwear.

/shrugs I have no problem with sex appeal. Its just forced in your face sex appeal I find annoying. Jack's outffit was completely fine to me because the game didn't keep going "oooh look look her boobs are out!!!"

Where's with Miranda it kind of does.

But whatever. At least the whole PG-13 nonsense is starting to make sense.

LOL. I meant crotch shots in a guy's case.

I have no problem with the outfight either tbh its just the camera focusing on it is not cool. Not cool at all. I shouldn't have to have it forced in my face so often. Then again. I suppose I expected better from BW. My fault for placing them on a pedestal.
