That's the problem I have with some of the outfits.  Regardless of how sexy something is, wearing nothing but breather, or having no top on a planet with sub-zero temperatures.  It just doesn't make sense.  You don't go into battle without protection.    I wouldn't go into a fight without at least something on, regardless of how confident in my abilities I was.  Where ARE the shield generators on Jack's outfit?  Why didn't she die from intense exposure on Haelstrom?

Am I the only one who thinks Miranda's outfit looks like it's made of bathroom tile?

Close, I was thinking vinyl flooring - it's slightly more flexible than ceramic tile.

Annoying enough that she's the only character I bothered to 'customize' to her alternate black vinyl.

Its more annoying that she wears stripper boots to battle.

Miranda wouldn't be Miranda without stripper boots.

I really have to agree. I know they don't make sense, but I don't care. They are hot.

They are all over Miranda cause she's just hot....Jack looks like a you know what and Samara isn't human so maybe that's why they aren't over her.

Cant honestly say Miranda's outfit bothered me I noticed 2 gratuitus ass shots, one was there to make a point though. but over all it could have been much worse and Ive seen worse/better depending on your point of view on tv. Certainly fits the femfetal persona they were trying for.

What does bother me, as other have said is the practicality of the outfits. Not ziping up suits in hazardous envirnments, not wearing sealed suits in an environment posibly open to space or could be at any time? Not wearing a sealed suit in a suposedly clean environment? Please! This was simply either a case of time constraint, lazyness - either they hadnt thought it through or just didnt do a second outfit or profit centrick thinking - I wonder how long before those outfits come up as DLC? lol

I live in South Dakota (insert groans) and a few years back the "city" of Sioux Falls bought a replica of Michelangelo's David. They put the statue up in a park where you could see it from one of the main streets. All hell broke loose with people ****ing about how offensive it was and how it would corrupt the minds of the youth. The city was forced to move it to a location in the park that was less visable. I'm not trying to compare a video game to the David, but it just shows that no matter how artistic nudity is, some people will always be complete morons.

Not even North Dakota?!

You have my condoleances. (ok, now I'm trolling and I am kidding, I barely know where South Dakota is anyway, so Joke's on me.)

I like Miranda, I like her outfit, I really like her accent, she's just great. If anything, her outfit would seem to be a little too conservative, because compared to Jack or Samara, she's covered WAY more than either of them. So if I changed anything at all it would probably be to change the top part of her outfit a little bit, certainly not to Jack or Samara levels, but an improvement over what it is now :) .

Jack's defenses come from biotic barriers anyway.

Wearing nothing but a breather on a planet with sub-zero temperatures doesn't make sense? You know what doesn't make sense either? Bringing people back to life! Talk about BS! Someone make that thread, please.

Oh.. wait.. hold on a minute. This is a video game?

Miranda is awesome. Can't wait to get home and play ME2. And I'm not gonna lie either: it was Miranda who initially got me interested in playing Mass Effect 2, and it was FOX  News' smear campaign against Mass Effect that made me try the original in the first place. I'm glad I did because the story was epic and thought provoking as well. Anyways though, Bioware should ignore all the prudes complaining about Miranda, nudity, sex, etc being present in their games. Creating controversy surrounding Bioware's games and thus making their games the center of debate and attention does not hurt Bioware, it HELPS THEM. It spreads the word about their games to people all over and provides Bioware with lots of free advertising.  Bioware should ignore the prudes and continue doing what has made them increasingly popular in recent years - giving gamers more of what they want (as they have done with Miranda).

And seriously ... what's the deal with these people suggesting Bioware was wrong or bad to include more attractive shots of Miranda in the game? OF COURSE they did. They're a company, and they're there to make good products and please gamers so they can make money, and the vast majority of gamers are male. What, you expect them to have a precisely equal amount of attractive characters in the game, despite the fact that men account for the overwhelming majority of gamers that Bioware is trying to cater to in the first place? Get real. That's just unreasonable. It is just plain silly to say that Bioware should cater to the 2% of gamers that are female at an equal rate as they would to the 98% of gamers that are male. (Yes, I'm just making up figures, but that's beside the point: the VAST MAJORITY of gamers are men). It makes sense for Bioware to give them what they want in their games, and it's just plain silly to expect them not to. It is also ridiculous to expect them to spend an equal amount of time catering to 2% of gamers as they do to 98% of gamers.

I'm not against the idea of having plenty of romance options in the game for women, and I'm not against the idea of having more attractive male characters if this pleases their female customers. I'm merely saying people are somehow disappointed in Bioware for putting this amount of content in the game aimed at appealing to men just seriously need to get some perspective. So long as most gamers are men, and that's who Bioware is trying to please, it makes total sense for them to cater to them first, formost, most frequently, and primarily. When women account for half of the gaming population, then maybe you would be justified in complaining about the fact that there are more views of Miranda's behind than there are of male characters in the game.

If you're upset at there being lots of content in games directed at men and little content in games serving women, maybe you should try to get more women interested in gaming instead of attacking reasonable and good developers like Bioware who are just making the entirely reasonable and good decision of trying to cater to and please the group of people that forms the vast majority of their sales: men.
