I mean, i understand it ending the way it did if you were a renegade Shepard...but as a Paragon?
let me explain

you get her to open up to you about her father and break a boundary with her = good

you willingly go in and help her save her sister, showing her trust in you = good

you convince her to talk to her sister, causing her to openly cry in front of you and thank you with a lot of intensity= also a very romantic moment

she makes you promise that you won't die and that she loves you =very very good

and how does it all end?

"Let's have sex in the engine room for no apparent reason like a cheap porn" =....what?

I mean...why the engine room?? why couldn't it have been "making love" as it was in the first game, it just seemed odd to me and felt way out of character with her. anyone else feel the same?

its a really wierd choice, but others say it happened because it was "neutral ground" for both of them

I still think she chose that spot to lord it over her only competition on the ship, Tali and Jack.

Yeah. It's odd. Both Shepard and Miranda rooms have beds, so why the hell the engine room. Maybe it is just her nasty side lol. Maybe she likes to do it in unpleasant places or she likes the view of the engine core.

i have heard ideas that it may have been because it was a public place and she liked the idea of people seeing her...but that doesn't make a lot of sense because that spot was not viewable from the windows that look at the engine room from any part of the ship (that i know of)

Seemed a bit tasteless, imo. She has a perfectly fine bed in her room, yet she tricks the engineers out of the engine room, just to have sex?! It does sound like a really bad porno.

i think she chose it due to the fact that there are camera's everywhere else and she doesnt want TIM to watch/she her doing the commander

i can't help but wonder if it was because of the engine itself, the core, not like that perverts...

i think there is a reason why tali talks with you about the planted bugs all over the ship next to the drive core, because somehow, maybe how the engines works with eezo or whatever, the bugs won't work there

maybe she doesn't want TIM to know about the relationship

or maybe it is because the engine core gives off one hell of a vibration

Exactly when and where do you hear there are no bugs in the engine room?

No, Miranda explains to Shepard that she made everyone leave.

Well for one ... Gabby and Kenneth aren't there. They were abducted. And she said she cleared the engine room so somehow she got Tali out of there.

Other than that, I have no idea why the engine room. Tastelessness aside, one would think it would get a little uncomfortable at the very least.

Personally I'm surprised that Miranda's ass didn't press all the buttons on the console she put it on. C'mon she scrubbed the engine controls with her ass!

Maybe Miranda is just attracted to power, and having sex next to the drive core gives her a thrill? Who knows?

I did think it a bit odd that the only romanceable female with her own cabin and bed is also the only one who decides to do it on the floor of a public area though. I'd think out of all of them Tali would be the one to get kinky in the engine room, and even Jack has the decency to come to your cabin before she jumps your bones (unless you go for the quick lay down below). Still, who am I to argue?

I do like the idea of Miranda choosing the drive core to avoid surveillance though. It makes a certain sense. Also, Miranda's romance ends a bit more satisfyingly if you bring her along on the final boss battle.

Sheesh, what's so bad with it? She had the fancy to "do it" there so she did. Maybe your life is so boring that you only and always "conclude" the business in the bed, in dark under a blanket but some people like to do things differently, like an adventure, just for fun and the kick of it and to try out different things. So it was OK, I found it to be a fun moment.

I'm pretty sure this is correct. They do the deed in the spot that Tali always takes Shepard to talk. Tali mentions bugs all over the Normandy, so it stands to reason if she wants to talk there, it's clean. Miranda gets everyone out of the engine room, and voila! No voyeuristic Martin Sheen watching them getting it on and taking long drags from his Marlboro.

I never romance Miranda, so the conclusion isn't a problem for me, but it does seem to want to cater to horny teenagers a bit, when I think about it.
