This probably has been asked already, but I can't see a sticky or something with it...

Is there a patch for Awakakening in the works?

Some of the issues are a bit jarring...

No, still 1.03 is the latest and no news for 1.04 yet.

You can find recent patches in Games/<choose game>/Game patches in the upper right corner of this page.

Just out of curiosity: is there a specific bug that stops you from playing it? I already finished the game and yes there were some annoying bugs (which I will not spoil here, some are quest related), but still it was an enjoyable run. Also pls note that patch 1.03 only made stability worse :). Who knows what will 1.04 do?

I am stuck on the Quest with the Elf Mage in Wending Woods. She is nowhere to be seen, and the doors to the mines are locked!

Just uninstall and do something else, you will not see any patches unless there's a DLC coming up.

Next one will have ponies. PINK PONIES.

Followed up by horse armor V2.0? Seriously though, come on Bioware, even the woefully awful Bethesda patched their games more times than this and marginally quicker too. Say what you like about Bethesda, their games never crashed as quickly as Dragon Age does with 1.03.

Hello, first of all I wanted to extend apologies to anyone that's experiencing issues preventing them from playing the game. We believe we have some solid leads on the specifics relating to many of those issues and we hope to have some news for those of you affected by problems soon.

On that note, we're tracking all the issues we can from various threads around the forum. I'm very sorry to say that I don't have any more information available for you at the moment, other than to reassure you: we're working on it!

If the issues you're experiencing are crashes, as I've indicated in another thread - please make sure that you submit the error report via the Windows Error Reporting service. That information is valuable to the developers working on fixes.

If you're experiencing other issues, quick things to try include searching the forums (other users may have had the same problem and may have discovered a solution to whatever peculiarity was causing the issue), or to try the game after removing all mods installed. If that fixes it then feel free to re-introduce them one at a time until you find the offender so you can report it to the mod author (if you're feeling nice!). I've personally seen many odd issues caused by mods not playing nice with the core game, and within that there's also the possibility of a corrupted install of a mod, etc etc etc...

If those don't help you, then please feel free to make a thread related to your specific issue following the guidelines specified by Victor Wachter in the sticky (how to report...) in this forum. It's possible a fellow gamer might be able to help you, but it's also useful for us as providing complete information allows us to better track the issue.

Thanks to all of you who have been patient and who have reported issues with useful and complete information. Again, hopefully we'll have some news for you soon!

Don't get your hopes up with this statement, it's practically a copy/paste of what he said a couple of weeks ago. "Soon" is getting a little old for me since I have an expansion pack that I can't use... not a full game, I know, but I don't like the fact that I can't use it.

Nathan: Same old crap. "Working on it". Yeah. Right. Like the console versions waiting for 7 months and the Mac for nearly 5.

How about actually giving useful information?

Your "caring" doesn't mean a damn thing.

I have no optimism regarding a new patch.

There have been several expansions released, and the game has more bugs now than when it was released.

With statements like the above, it looks like it will be well over 12 months after the game release before its actually patched enough to play.

Further more I wouldn't get your hopes up on a fix, considering the trash that was released with 1.03

At least a statement which ends the complete silence.

Maybe we will get something with the next DLC.

OK. Here is my error problem.

I did not get back my equipment - in the mines-after killing all the monster. And when I tried to get after the main bad guy in the end of the mines I could not get into the proper room. Then I gave up!

And I will NOT waste time to go through to it again so You can get specifics

Just imagine they skip the patch, and announce Dragon Age: Archdemon Chronicles DLC, loool which is like Darkspawn Chronicles but lets you control an Archdemon. HAHA

Looks like the EA effect is taking hold on Bioware bugged games and even more bugged patches. Shame really used to release very polished games.
