I would rather see patches to fix one small problem at a time that way we can see if they work and they can continue patching to see if they dont this way we see progress and are part of the fixing process but for some reason there insisting to patch every thing at one time which will just be a big ball of bugs

Well as demonstarted by Bioware with previous patches all they have introduced is more bugs + a massive slap in ****** poor performance. I highly doubt this game will ever be in a playable state.

All they give a **** about is releasing more BS DLC so they can squeeze every last $$ from the consumer.

@Nathan: Nobody cares anymore. Either you release a patch or you dont, but that may actually require you to stop making garbage DLC that nobody wants and actually make the patch a priority. Just sayin.

Let's leave it at that. They will release a patch... to support the new miniskirts for Sten DLC.

Nathan; how many bugs are fixed in the supposed patch so far? You know. And give actual useful info to console and Mac fans.

OK. Here is my error problem.
I did not get back my equipment - in the mines-after killing all the monster. And when I tried to get after the main bad guy in the end of the mines I could not get into the proper room. Then I gave up!
And I will NOT waste time to go through to it again so You can get specifics

same issue i had

awakening is a perfect example of not playtesting a product properly before release and obviously they didnt play test with all the available DLC added

At least try to sound as if you didn't copy and paste the same response from a month ago. Okay here's what I would like to know in any case, you said that the devs had a "lead" on the crashing issues in the post from a month ago. Does this still hold true? I don't really care about the other mess of scripting issues, the community has done a reasonable job at fixing those.

Bioware is really losing a lot of credit because of this, i guess all the community managers are reporting it. I just stopped playing Dragon age when i noticed you just wanted to strip me out of money for 15min DLCs, then don't let me even use them on a totally untested beta of the expansion set...

Maybe we will get something with the next DLC.

A patch would come as a separate release.  Why would the patch come with a DLC?  This would force you to have to buy the DLC in order to get the patch.  I think players would be more than a little upset at that prospect!  Image IPB

If you were the lead designer in saying that 1.03 was ready to distribute i'm surprised your still in the job lol

I'm even more surprised that over one month (almost two) is a satisfactory time frame to not release a patch to make the game playable for all us that have awakenings on PC... but to release more DLC.

It just shows the real Bioware is no more after the takeover from EA. If they can’t get this game to operate smoothly, LOL @ Bioware's attempt to make the TOR MMO they have been hyping the hell out of.

Thank you Nathan for the update.

On another note, it really sucks waiting for the patch. I've reinstalled Morrowind GOTY, Oblivion, and NWN just to free my mind from DA.

Hey those games are really big too.

Sigh, I come back a month later and still do not see or hear of patches being released for this game; only broken promises from Bioware. I'm sure they bow down to EA's commands... When EA, tells them to make a profit and don't worry about making customers happy, they follow the command with haste. It is more like their goal is only to sell silly DLC's rather than continue making a working "Patch" for the fricken game. I am appalled at you Bioware. I give up in trying to believe Bioware is releasing a patch, when clearly by the time they do, Dragon Origins 2 will already gone gold with bugs that no man has seen before...

It wouldn't force you to buy the DLC but through a patch the sales of a DLC would be higher then without when you consider it marketing-orientated.

After RTO, I have no plans of purchasing new DLCs until the game is sufficiently patched and optimized. I recommend the community should do the same.

I understand you're frustrated and upset, and for this I'm sorry. I wish I could make it better for you and all involved immediately, I wish I had some news to
give you, I wish I could give you exact statistics and details and pie
charts and bar graphs and candy and so on and so forth, but none of these things are
things I can provide for anybody at the moment. We're working hard on the issues reported in the forum, yes we believe we've got a solid lead on fixes for a lot of the issues at hand, no I can't tell you which ones or how many or when. As soon as that information is available, an announcement will be made - likely not by myself.

Having said that, coming on to the forums to routinely post vitriol won't really get you anywhere nor fix anything... and judging by your posting history, there's a fair amount of that. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, of course, but please remember that this forum is primarily for dealing with bugs, glitches, and other support from members of the community to other members of the community. And no: I'm not in charge of much, personally... just the low-man in the totem pole doing his job as best he can.

For all those others expressing concern about development cycles and the like, patch support and development is a separate entity from DLC development. We coordinate on certain issues, of course, but separate teams -- and no, of course the patch will not be priced DLC! Sheesh. :P

I've said it before and I'll say it again, these things take - above all else - time. I could likely go into detail about the nature of why it takes so much time, but that's a tangent that won't help any here at the moment.

So, we really do appreciate your patience thus far! If you're upset and frustrated that's fine - and believe me when I say I understand - but please continue to be as patient as you can. Should you feel the burning need to express said anger and frustration, do so on the appropriate forum for it and keep it civil. There's a difference between asking questions, expressing yourself reasonably, and lashing out. A big hint: it's not this forum! Getting angry at me personally will only cause me to ridicule you behind your back. ;) I keed, I keed... maybe...

As soon as there's news to pass along to you all, it'll be passed along -- these are things out of my personal control. Please keep being as constructive as possible on the forums, and I'll do my part on this end to pass along that information so we can make the game a better experience for you.

Thanks for giving us an update, Nathan. :)

The lack of communication, or at least the perceived lack of communication from Bioware, has been a major part of the growing frustration in the forums. We just want someone from Bioware, such as yourself, to let us know that there is some actual work being done on an update that will hopefully addrerss the many issues that have arisen since 1.03.

Nathan: Your "update" is meaningless. You are still saying nothing but pure nonsense. You say you can't tell us how many issues are fixed. Bull. GOOD programmers keep an up-to-date list of problems fixed. At any time anyone can see how much work has been done.

The patch and DLC teams are separate. So what? Tell us why the DLC zips through the approval process (4 in 7 months) while needed patches (especially console and Mac versions) have yet to appear. The same old crap about "working on it" is meaningless. It's like the fairy tale about the Boy Who Cried Wolf. Bioware has cried wolf too much. Why do you think these forums have turned into many unhappy posts? Simple: Bioware/EA simply don't care about anyone but the fanboys who keep buying DLC, t-shirts, etc.

Your words mean nothing when month after month there is no patch and only more things you are trying to sell fans. How long are the fans supposed to wait? That's right: you "don't know, but Bioware is working on it". Lately, some games Valve sells had some bugs. Guess what? In some of those games Valve released patches in less than 48 hours. Golly gee. Bioware has released how many for console/Mac in 7 months: None. For the PC over two months ago : None. Bioware continues to prove it has gone downhill. There is no way I will get anymore games from Bioware. And I sure as hell won't be buying your MMO. It's scary to think how you can run an MMO when you are doing such a bad job fixing a non-MMO.

Explain how modmakers can quickly do what a large multi-million dollar can't do.

you do know that he did say that hes low on the pole and therefore proably does not get every bit of infomation. also they may not want to give a list because some fixes they do make may break other fixes they may have already said they are going to put out, the only time they can say for sure is when they put it all together.

Nathan, gotta say man that this is a far cry from the collaborative effort between the community and the last patch released for Neverwinter Nights. I remember a lot of the fixes were documented in the ongoing process of bug catching and the dev team did their best to get these things implemented when the community reported them in that final thread.

Here we have nothing, except some vague assurances that it's being worked on. There's no collaborative process between the community. All we have is the dev team asking for our system specifications in a format that is so baffling to me that I can't even wrap my mind around it. I am of course referring to the thread from Victor Watcher that is full of table breaking nonsense which would cause the dev team to go blind in the reading of it.

It's not within your power to give this information, we get it, but is there someone who can at least give us a changelog... or something?
