rewind678; Bioware is a large company. There can easily have someone post. It won't harm any project.

But like Valve say,you can spend all day answering questions or the team can spend all day fixing the issues.

Ah but that's just it, they only started figuring out what was going on a bit over a month ago when the patch has been out for 3 months. So they HAVEN'T been spending all day since fixing it, I have no idea what they were doing until last month, but it wasn't fixing the game.

Just wanted to poke my head in to link to first of all say thanks to all of you (who have responded reasonably to me ;) as well as those who have provided some great suggestions for me to bring to attention) for your patience, and to point to a link here:

Victor Wachter will be handling all revealing of patch-like infos. from here on out. So, there it is, some approval for some real, useful info to make its way out into the world for all of you that have been waiting. For what it's worth, my apologies it took this long but as I said: the decision wasn't up to me! As Victor said in his thread, not *all* the bugfixes are listed immediately, but there's a small selection there for starters and we'll keep adding to it as various fixes on the list go through QA and are approved.

Have a good weekend!

Nice- many thanks. I for one, always appreciate the devs posting on the forums, even if its to just chime in with something some may think inconsequential. Its nice to know that even if the devs aren't posting responses all the time, they are reading posts related to bugs and problems and such. The occassional substantial post with meaningful info on patch fixes though is awesome.

I would just like to say, Nathan, and everyone else at BioWare, that I appreciate your efforts. I have been vitriolic and even downright rude at times, and I don't intend it to be personal; rather, it's a manifestation of the frustration that many community members have experienced over the last several months. I apologise for my behaviour, but I also regret none of it, since I do feel that it is perfectly legitimate to voice concerns in a manner befitting of their severity - okay, yeah, so it's not like the world's ending, but hyperbole has its place. :B

There may be a perfectly good reason for why things have been the way they are lately, but if there is no transparency or communication about those reasons, the community has no way of knowing if it's out of genuine disinterest from BioWare, rules and regulations regarding interaction between BioWare and users, or something else. The best way to maintain good relations is to engage with your fans. Even if they don't make up the largest segment of users, and don't necessarily account for a huge number of sales, they're also those who are most dedicated to BioWare as artists and creators, and they have an enormous impact in influencing people to purchase BioWare's games, in supporting them long-term through things like DLC and patches, and in terms of general public opinions and attitudes towards BioWare games and BioWare as a developer.

The reason that often the fanbase can be acidic isn't because they dislike BioWare and get off on insulting people, but because they genuinely care about BioWare and BioWare games. They want the best possible experiences, and have formed an emotional attachment over the years. When fans sense this attachment is being either exploited or ignored, they feel like they are no longer appreciated, but only valued in terms of pure economics. While this sometimes seems prudent in the short term, it's quite clear that a company's long-term viability, reputation and profitability depends upon establishing a dependable, mutually beneficial relationship with those who support it. BioWare is no exception here.

Thanks once more for making efforts to open things back up and restore some level of trust. I'm quite certain that it was far more difficult and messy a thing to do than what you're able to talk about here. :P
