Auction - Upset and Angry

1. Some of the people that are bidding on this auction have 14k. That is incredibly suspicious.
2. It's quite obvious through a little investigating that people have multiple accounts on here for their tokens. It's quite obvious, if you have a lick of intelligence.
3. This auction was for the community; i.e, fans, friendly people... now all it is, is a horde of money grubbers wanting free crap. As soon as this gets advertised, a whole lot of people come over and suddenly register their game. Yeah, sure.
No, this isn't me having a go at BioWare, I love BioWare. Their intentions are always to make everyone happy, even if they go about it strangely sometimes. It's me appauled at how selfish, greedy and downright upsetting some people on this forum are. This is a place where gaming fans and BW fans alike come to discuss good quality narrative, production and fun things. This isn't a spam fest where you post your referral link even in serious, unrelated topics. You don't post your referral link in a topic where some forumer is talking about his sick relative.
I can't wait for this to be over, because I am goddamn sick of it. I've never felt such hostility toward anyone on this site before.
To all those people who are bound to post their referral links after pretending to read my post, I cannot wait for you to leave. Go, get out. You give our friendly and fun forum a bad name.
p.s, to those honest, friendly and polite people who are real fans of BioWare and enjoy this site. Who have either been on this site for a while or are newcomers with good intentions, I salute you for being able to have fun with the auction without wanting to go on a killing rampage. Good luck, and I hope you guys win more great things before it finishes.

quick thing to point out i did the math and it is prefectly plausible to have 15k at this point right now and late yesterday
*one guy had it cause he hosts a streaming video thing and decided to post his url there and his couple thousand fans clicked for him*
i only have around 8k btw so im not one of the higher up peoples
i have spent the past couple nights not sleeping to gain my points so i think i have earned them

Same here and on top of that Bioware sent me the email invitation late so I think I may have 10K tokens right now if I got the invitation sooner.Bazak wrote...

I can't wait until it's over and I hope they never do anything remotely similar again. When they host the next contest for the people that were excluded from this one, if there are links involved, I'm not coming back to these boards until it's over.
I will hide in my various groups and not have to worry that I will be bombarded with e-beggars.

What is sad, is the way the competition has panned out, I don't like the 'grabby' competitive feel the auction necessarily creates. But then luckily, not being eligible to play meant I didn't have to 'not' join twitter - which I think, because I'm an old fart, is a loathsome 'pay attention to meeeeee!' device. But then I don’t like Facebook either so, I’m not the best person to ask.
But Lucy, I really do see where you’re coming from, and I might have been as cross as you once upon a time but really, it’s best to just step back and let it happen. It’s not going to be any different and most of us (I mean you too of course
*hand cup of tea and nice biscuit - and a hug*

All they had to do was plug in their referral in a video or news bite, and their thousands+ subscribers would give them a flood of clicks that could not be matched by anybody spamming their link in forums.

While I'm one of those 14k, or nearing 14k people, I'd like to point out I slacked off all weekend. I did not get my 500 hits per day, and I did not win any challenges until the 12th one.
All I do now for points is click other peoples links so they click mine (Up to the 500 a day, I don't subscribe to spamming for 1 token per click, thought I prolly should have all things considered) and the challenges, of which it appears I've been one lucky son of a **** with.
Yet I do agree. I'll be glad when this is over. I won't care if they make a new link game for everyone else, I'd still hit it, but staying up 24/7 (With cat naps here and there whenever I could con a loser into watching the auction for me) since the Bazaar began has killed me.
My girl friend, and I do not joke, said "What the hell happened to you?" as she cringed in disgust.
I tell her, "It's for a good cause, babe." before trying to kiss her. With a Bemused expression, she pushed me back and said, "I don't kiss guys who look like Cousin It." (A shot at my growing beard).
So yeah, no love for me until this is over. Sad times.

i have a feeling i have an opinion to add but the fact that i have been up for about 20 hours am hungry and a little cold seem to have removed any possible way for me to finish formulating the thought so i have nothing i can say

Aww, I had a similar thing with my boyfriend at first... (but it was more that he's a JRPG fanatic and hates bioware games XD ), but then he caved and helped me watch the auctions when I was out or asleep or whatever. He's so sweet <3
But yeah, I posted my link on my comic--I get about 3-5k UIPs/day and had my b/f post the link on his comic where he gets about 10k UIPs. Granted, not everyone's gonna be clicking (especially once they figured out what it was) but it kept me at a steady 1-1.5k click increase. Alas, not enough to win a comp, but oh well.
And yeah, I guess to you guys its unfair that we have followings and stuff, but like, we've worked really hard to pull up our sites off the ground. Mine's been online and updating for like, 4-5 years, and his has been updating for about 10 years. And I'm assuming the Wizard guy who won the PC yesterday also has been building his following for years. So why get mad at people who're using the resources available to them? In the same position, I bet you'd do the same =)

Not even really needed. I don't have followings like you. The people who know my name outside of these forums are fanfiction fanatics or stalkers demanding I update some of my writings.
I honestly, if I push it, get 100 clicks a day. My only saving grace has been the challenges, of which I've won 7.

As much as i don't like good topics being interupted by "Click me" i don't see the need to "have your voice heard" by starting a new topic about it. Nothing is going to change no matter how much we shout and scream about it so better just ignoring it and the click-spammers and letting it pass in peace.
