However, she does seem to have an issue in telling apart unread messages and archived messages.

Jacob and Emily Wong are famous for this. 

ON-TOPIC: The private messages issue is nothing more than sloppy coding by the devs as it only seems to happen when you archive messages before crossing her path.  It's not a performance issue; so they probably just let it slide.
