I seem to be stuck, I fight the many waves on the top of the hill where
the windmill is and then den off the waves down in the town and then
back up by the windmill, then nothing. They just stop coming. I go back
down into town where the blockade is and no more enemies come down
there either.  I even run up into the green fog, nothing. Any ideas?

Have you checked down by the water? Usually a straggler or two down there.

Yup I found one just idling. I guess the undead get scared too.

Thanks, I'll look around. After Lothering, I went to Redcliffe next, hope that doesn't have anything to do with it. I'll look for stragglers.

Still no luck, console players are getting stuck like this as well. Might have to load up a saved game and replay.

i thought the same thing but i just found one standing by the water too

I had numerous stragglers I had to chase down throughout this event. Eventually I killed them all but still had to wait like 2-3 minutes doing nothing then it finally ended.

I found a straggler on the way to the castle. Starting from the windmill, go past the fire on its right side. there's a space where you can pass without getting burned, but you might want to just control one character and leave the rest behind. Once past the fire, go into the fog. I found a guy right in front of the gate that leads to the castle. Once I killed him, the story continued.

there is a bug in the pc version the first time in redcliff i killed them all then nothing happened i read the form and looked for about 30 min i gave up an redid the quest this time it worked

I had one Undead stuck half way down from the top under a stone bridge thing here. There is a long wooden way to a house near that point.

As you walk around searching, hold down tab to make it easier to spot enemies.

You have to kill X number of zombies for it to move forward. Chances are you have one stuck somewhere stopping it from continuing.
