Has anyone made Morrigan into an Arcane Warrior?  Is it beneficial or is she stronger as a damaging mage?  Any suggestions/opinions would be helpful.  BTW my character is a DW warrior.

Thanks!

I'd say that she would be stronger defensively as she wont have to heal as often if she fights from afar because she can eventually wear heavy armor. As for her taking the warrior role of the arcane warrior, I'm not sure about whether or not spells are more or less powerful but with the arcane mage spec I'd have her wield a sword for an occasion where she is out of mana and lyrium potions.

Bad idea... she is already a shapeshifter. It makes shapeshifter useless. She is better as a Bloodmage. If you want an Arcane Warrior than Spec Wynne in it (or yourself if you are a mage).

Only the first Arcane Warrior talent is useful for Morrigan. With it she can use her magic stat to use 7th tier weapons like the keening blade. The weapons stats are used for the damage of the spider and bear shapes.

You know staves don't allow critical hits while shapechanged.

I concur with NikJmp. Keep Morrigan as your offensive punch and Wynne as your AWACS (ie support/healer). I always make Wynne an AW wearing Juggernaut armour. With the AW4 spec, she's practically invisible, resistant to spells and physical attacks - just what you want for a healer in the background. I also have her put up Haste to give everybody that extra boost.

Plus, Wynne looks funny as hell in Juggernaut armor.

I do not recommend turning her into a Jedi.

ideally Morrigan should be a blood mage/arcane warrior. she can run out of mana very easy if you only concentrate on her magic. plus, Morrigan looks hot in dragonskin armor

I have. I'm on console, so no skill reset. Dragonskin heavy armor... Not the most optimal build on the planet. But once she hits 14, her usefulness goes up by a lot. I use modified Damager tactics. Just for fun, but she does everything. I call it a 'swiss knife' build. Went up the Crushing Prison Tree and Waking Nightmare. Everything else was just "so what the hell do I want now..."

I think she makes an awesome AW, although she is the only mage I ever seem to use for DPS, and Combat Magic certainly helps if you max it out.

actually, I ended up doing this my first playthrough, and then messed up the archdemon fight so it was just morrigan left. I had her outfitted as a regular mage

paused the game, applied armor, gave her a great axe and watched her go to town, she ended up killing the Archdemon...

She was pretty awesome in my one game as an AW. She had the Juggernaut armor and Spell Weaver. She was pretty dominate.

I made both Wynne and Morrigan arcane warriors just over an hour ago, the reason is only to better their attire and give them heavy armor. This time I think I'm really gonna need it, since for some reason Morrigan and Wynne don't seem too powerful and they are both at level 16, and my warrior character is level 17. The warrior is fine, but Wynne doesn't have that good of an offensive arsenal of spells that I'm accustomed to after having a really powerful mage last time around. I wont use Morrigan too much anymore now since she isn't the healer, and I'm approaching the two high dragons (the one at Andraste's temple, and then Flemeth) then I'll go on to the landsmeet and complete the game afterwards so I really need that revival for Alistair who dies faster than a child fighting Sten when he is on a cookie eating rampage lol.
