I've got to say Portal.

It's weird in its own way - The humour, the mood of the game, the aesthetics... It leaves you a little bemused but it's a brilliant game. And a bit weird.

Otherwise, I'm going with Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem.

Wonderdog was for the Sega-CD which was 16 bit.  I had the game, it sucked.

I agree re: weirdness, but I personally found it pretty fun as a game.

I agree, it's really underrated, and the weirdness adds to it I think. I can't wait until they release that 'ultimate' version or whatever on the XBLA.

Shadow Hearts 2 is the game with the most bizarre plot twist I've ever played. It's got its weird spots in the first place (no, this is not an exaggeration in the slightest) , but the basic plot is fairly logical. There's this dude, Yuri, who was in love with this girl, Alice. Alice sacrifices herself to save his life, Yuri never gets over it. Karin is a girl Yuri happens to rescue who falls in love with him.

Realizing he will never be with her, she goes back in time and becomes his mother.

Though for the most consistently weird, I'd have to say the Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha games. Fanfiction cannot out-weird the actual source material. Robot Rasputin from the future? Sounds good! Spiky demon penis threatening to penetrate you? Yep! Breaking the fourth wall? We got that! Random strangers making gay jokes about you? Damn straight!

Wait, something about that last part seems off...

Ha! I started playing Shadow Hearts but just couldn't get into it because on one hand it was really dark but on the other hand really over the top goofy. I just wiki'd the ending because I just did a double take on your post and it seems like Covenant indeed is probably a mix that I would not enjoy.

Especially after coming off of games like Persona 3, Digital Devil Saga, and Nocturne that hit a good balance.

Deadly Premonition has a similar problem except in reverse, for much of the game it is eccentric and bizarre but near the end it just gets ****ed up and depressing.

That Penny Arcade comic has got me interested. Gay pron? Living doll? Pretty dresses? Sounds fun.

How do you feel about a gay vampire wrestler who wants to be a superhero?

Also, that girl in blue all excited over 'different kinds of love'? That's the historical Princess Anastasia Romanov. She's a party member.

Shadow Hearts and Shadow Hearts: Covenant were awesome games.

Hmm wierdest game. That's hard for me to decide. I've played so many that have wierd stuff to them. I've always thought LocoRoco and Patapon were kinda wierd. The Metal Gear Solid games definitely have some wierd stuff in them as do almost all the Megaten games
