...is the Circle of Mages' Fade.
Seriously, not only could I NOT handle it without Prima's help, but I'm getting stuck at places where Prima gets it wrong. (Like, there most assuredly are TWO Golems and a Mage in the Essence of Willpower room towards the end of Mages Asunder...)
In case you're wondering, "Guide Dang It" comes from TvTropes.com and its definition is, any place that you're totally boned without Brady or Prima's guides to help you. And seriously, I made it TO the Circle without any help needed... but I seem to be the definition of a team fighter as it is, so force me to go solo with my Dual-Wielding Light-Armor Warrior... though I probably shouldn't complain ... what are Rogues doing at this point?
The very DEFINITION of GuideDangIt...

I loved the Fade. It was very unique and it has such a crazy mood to it.
Once I managed to explore the places better, it didn't seem as confusing anymore. You really don't need any guides as long as you keep exploring. Granted, I was playing a mage with good CC, so the fights were fairly easy, especially once you get the fire form.

Well, im enjoying it on the PS3 right now, so it's quite a bit easier than the PC so I hear, but as a rogue in the fade it was a fight by fight kind of situation. Good timing on stuns and filling up after each fight was crucial.
Although, after you get the Burning Man as a rogue you tear through almost everything with ease.

I had no troubles with Fade in the Mages tower that could be solved by a guide. There were a couple of time I had issues with combats, though.
I think I got lucky in that I just went clockwise through the rooms. It seems like that's the easiest way to gain all the shapeshifting forms.

Well, like I said, I got the idea of "Flank and avoid being flanked" pretty quickly, and I should also tell you I've mainly been fighting controlling Morrigan or Wynne as a healer and letting my main do her thing with Momentum and Precise Striking on. That goes TOTALLY out the window in the Fade.
I THINK I'm getting the hang of it, though. I just thought it's counter intuitive to have the best thing for a group of golems be another golem... or is that just me?

I Don't use a guide, and I don't plan on it..something about making a choice and living with it without knowing what will happen because of it appeals to me.

It was a tad confusing, but you just have to keep trying.
Also, explore. There are so many stat boosts in that place, I thought for sure it'd take them away afterwards or something. But nope, a nice free of all but time boost of at least 10+ stat points....
