A long time ago, back when I was wasting my life MUDding, I needed a character name. For some reason the name "Landru" just popped into my head (it's a tyrannical computer from a Star Trek episode), and somehow the name has stuck to me since then. When I started wasting my life on the BioWare forums, someone had already taken that name, so I stuck another "L" in front, and the rest is history.
How did you choose your forum name?

Because I was born in 1956 and I enjoy playing blues guitar on my 1978 American made Fender Stratocaster. Actually, I bought a Paul Reed Smith a few years back and it is my main Axe right now.
Now the real question, is why I haven't named these guitars? My first electric was a Yamaha named "Mabelline"

I've been using twincast for slightly more than a decade now, twincast2005 in the rare case that twincast's been already taken.
My fav series as a kid was Transformers, Blaster is one of my topmost favorite characters, his Japanese name is Broadcast, in the Japanese sequel series Transformers: Headmasters he was "reborn" as Twincast - plus he now had a blue paintjob and while he looks better in red, I don't wear red, so that's an additional bonus.

A friend of mine once tried to get me to read a webcomic by telling me it had twincest. That's what I think of whenever I see your name.

Originally just wanted the account to upload my characters, and get the DLC that went with it. Since I tend to have more of an interest in reading what other people think, on forums like these, rather than posting my own ideas, I had originally planned to use the forum name ghost, which I thought would be a fitting name for a lurker. But, after reading some of the topics in the forum, and looking at some of the polls, I guess I caught the posting bug. So, since my account was no longer going to be completely ghost like, I decided to attach Ish on the end, thus Ghost-Ish.

My online alias is Gethsemani. Unfortunately it was already taken here, so I went with adding the year of my birth to the end. Works well enough.

Levi was the original name of Matthew of Gospel fame, which happens to be my name.
Porphyrogenitus means "born in the purple" and refers to the Roman dynastic succession in the Imperial Palace at Constantinople. There was a purple room (covered in Porphyry marble) that was used as the Imperial delivery room. If a kid was born there they could attach "porphyrogenitus" or "porphyrogenita" to their name (for example, Constantine VII Porphyrogenitus).
Combining the two was an easy step for me to take.

I use a couple of names online - my old one I've used since the early 90's, porkshank6 for a lot of gaming stuff (I figured a random noun with a number afterward to be the preferred form of online gaming names), another one for more serious stuff related to my professional interests for use on blogs and serious forums, and Mr. GOH! (the exclamation point is important). Mr. GOH! comes from a subliminal memory of the old Mr. Do! arcade game and a fondness for the absurd qualities of a name that includes an honorific, is spelled in all caps and phrased as an imperative.

The art and panel work was good but flat at times. The plot and characters ranged from interesting to hilariously bad.IronFoe wrote...

Can never brag too much.
Well, can't brag about Maria too much. Big difference there.

I like wolves. I jump from planes. I've earned my wings.
Wingedwolf seems pretty popular and often chosen before I get it. It clips my wings.

When the character creator went live a few weeks ago, I was trying to have "dragonager" as my log in name. The name checker gave it a green light, but when I clicked to submit it, someone had already beat me to it. So I had to compromise.
