I've always been rather fond of it, but it'd be nice to chop the location/setting specific bit off the end ... perhaps eventually there'll be a name change option, eh?
How did you choose your forum name?

I usually use my standard-internetname, pseudonym "Caboodle", but it was already taken at the bioware.forums..
...when this happens I just pick one of my own character's names. Yenaquai or short Yen or Yena is one I'm quite fond of, and so I chose her name.
That is really a good name, Yenaquai!
My nick is from a runes of magic forum (not an in-game character name) At that time, I googled around and found a name generator, where you choose what you like and how you are as person etc, then this name came up

Its kind of Ironic that I actually favor human characters, about eight out of ten characters I created are human.
These days I like to look at my nickname differently. It looks simple at first but it has grown to have a deeper meaning than originally intended.
Whatever character I am playing is not a living person, its a character in a videogame and as such it cant feel real pain, sorrow and other unpleasant things. Many people seem to forget that often and mistake the character for the person behind it. Its not you in the game, just a character you controll. There needs to be a healthy distance between a player and his/her characters.
In the end it are just videogames after all. Its great entertainment and something you can be passionate about but it shouldnt controll you.

i needed a stupid name because i had just read an offtopic RP thread created by two enthusiasts and wanted to take the mickey.
their
tortured 'heroes' were stuck at an iron-bound door, so i registered
Dimble ThriceFoon and conjured up the Weasel of Gnawing to chew its way
through the door, thus permitting the 'heroes' to continue their epic
journey.
the enthusiasts weren't happy with my intervention, but
i was so tickled with my creation i created the epic ballad of the
Weasel of Gnawing along with a friend, and that tale still exists here:
http://forums.biowar...asel of gnawing
as fine a tale of derring do as can be found anywhere on the interwebs.

Well, it's not too difficult to explain on my end.
I'm an RPer on Lord of the Rings Online, and my forum name is my main character's name. -nods-

Well, I don't think you should worry about your english, there are many people here who don't speak english as their first language (including me), and we do our best to write accurately, and I think that's the most important thing.
But names are really important... I agree with you.

I really do like a good strong Goddess and female heriones. That is probably why I prefer playing female characters in general.

I know of the character from Chrono Trigger you speak of, but I remember his name as Magus, not Magnus...?incantomagnus wrote...
Well for me it breaks up like so. Incanto is magic or mystical. And Magnus is from Chrono Trigger one of the best rpg's i have ever played. Magnus was the coolest character on that game in my opinion.

For your First Name -
Take the first 3 letters of your Last name and add the first 2 letters of your first name, so if your last name was Thomas and your first name was Kyle your first name would be Thoky.
Now for you last name -
Take the first 2 letters of your Mom's maiden name & add the first 3 letters of the city you were born. So if your mothers maiden name was Parker and you were born in Memphis your last name would be Pamem.
So your Star Wars name would be Thoky Pamem!
I ended up with Kinjo Havic and have been using that for the past decade.
