Hey guys,

Long time Mass Effect and general Bioware fan here.

I am going to try and get into sculpting after work in my spare time,
so as this is my first sculpt I am going to dedicate it to an awesome
character from Bioware, Wrex! Below is a start on his throne as seen in
mass effect 2. I want to go for a grumpy looking Wrex, sitting on his
throne, leaning on one side holding his face up from the boredom.
Thinking about getting back in the fight with sheperd of course , his
arm resting over the other arm, maybe over his battle helmit?

I will
see as I get more done. Again the throne is WIP, need to make some cool
stamps and get some kind of petrol fluid to brush it down with in some areas.
Obviously I am not going for a dead on accuracy with the throne from
the game though it is similar, my version is more worn and slightly
smaller. Anyway, I will post updates here and hopefully do the character justice in the end.

looks fairly similar to me. though it will depend upon the size of the Wrex sculpture to determine if the ratio is correct or not.

I have a reference image of the chair on the computer, obviously because of texture size the in game model cant be too high detail. The main thing that is out of proportion to the original throne is the height of the back piece, mine is much shorter, if I had more clay I probably would have made it larger, as it stands now Wrex will be a bit smaller then I had imagined, which should be hella fun getting the detail in his face when the time comes! Bring on the pain!

At first I thought "That looks nothing like Wrex!" Then i read the actual post and thought "But exactly like his throne!" High class work.  I will be excited to see the finished project. If you've really just started sculpting as you said you seem to have natural talent.

He sits forward. Far forward.
