I think Miranda will, without a doubt, have a large role in ME3.

Miranda clearly dies here, as any other character would.

And now she's... back... and was switched out with Grunt at random. Could have just been a glitch, but this says otherwise:

No other character survives this cutscene, when the cutscene arises. You want more proof? I ran into this forum thread last night:

This probably hints to one specific thing: either the game makers REALLY wanted her to mumble her line at the end of the suicide mission (which I doubt, because they don't bother leaving her in if Shepard dies), OR she has a very large role in Mass Effect 3 (or at least a sufficiently large role), enough of so to exclude her from dieing in the previous game.
Just my thoughts. Thought this was a bit of a spoiler so I didn't place it in the other forum, but any thoughts?

She died pretty easily for me so it can't be too large of a role~
In the suicide mission? She can't die unless Shepard dies as well.
Edit: Finally found a video where she dies. Sucks then, sort of wanted a confirmation she would come back. Oh well.

Personally, I would prefer being able to make her go through the vents, and watch her eat a rocket.

If she lives, we might get to see her dad, and develop the LI if the player chooses. But anything else? nah...

My evidence:

The Virmire survivor and Liara are the only squad mates guarenteed to be alive by the end of ME2.

Liara obviously because she couldn't be killed in ME1 or 2 and Ash or Kaiden because they are essentially interchangeable when it come to plot (I.E. they are both relatively high ranking Alliance officers who served with Commander Shepard on the Normandy SR1; despite which is alive).

I totally know how you feel man. I cheered when Tali got it. Her annoying voice was getting on my nerves. Seriouslly. I don't care how hot it is... I have god damn collectors assuming control of my vanguard a-s-s so shut it and wait a minute!!!

Miranda is indeed the toughest character in the suicide mission. Half because you cannot make her do some tasks, half because she refuses to die.
.
And she has everything to keep a large role in ME3.

Lol sadly as much as I hated Tali after ME1 her character started to grow on me. I still don't like her much though but she isn't as bad as I think she was in ME1. But I was happy when I killed her.
I just finished an Insanity run today and Miranda was unloyal and she died while holding the door while I was at the final boss. So she can die and Grunt was still in Statsis.

Oh, not just the Miranda fans, either. No.
ALL the fans are going to form one big alliance pre-ME3, sort of like all those in-case-of-war alliances that led to WWI, so that if any one of our favorite characters isn't included the whole lot of us will band together and revolt, meaning EVERYONE we want in the game has to be included.
Yes. Fear us, Bioware. Fear us.

1. Takes Jacks side in their arguement
2. Take Miranda against the Reaper boss
Miranda dies. You will only die if you don't have another surviving squadmate. In my playthrough I send my only loyal companion back with the crew. Everyone else not loyal. The two that fought the reaper with me died. One who "held the line" died, the other mysteriously slipped away and back aboard the ship. They were not in the final walk through and I didn't realize they survived until I tried to go to Omega and saw them in the crew lineup.

She can die, she's just the only one with that dialogue, which I think is stupid. If she dies, Jacob should take over.EricLeb010 wrote...

It will be interesting to see how ME3 plays out. Either way... the beauty of this game is that there are enough characters that enverone will find someone they identify with. And for the ones you don't identify with... they don't need to be around in ME3.

Its called plot armour 4.0, its so good the talimancers are trying to get bioware to retro-fit tali with it.
