What is the right choice with this box of unknown information?.
Paragon is always as up, neutral middle and down is renegade, right?.
So is it really "paragon" of Shepard to tell her to keep the box so she is stuck in a VR world with her dead BF?.
And what was on that box that was so importen for it to be destroyed, has anyone dissected the flashs of pictures yet?. =D

While I agree that keeping the living memory of her dead lover isn't the healthiest way to deal with loss, if she isn't ready to let go, it's her call. I'd feel bad forcing that choice on someone. That's just me though. You get her loyalty either way. There is no 'right' - it's all subjective.
But in any case, secret data! Want!

Speaking of which, hiding the incriminating evidence in Tali trial is paragon. Hiding the incriminating evidence in this mission is renegade. So is renegade just doing things that make your squadmates upset?

I only kept it because I want to know what the data is. I'd prefer to know what I'm going to be destroying. I'm surprised there wasn't a renegade option telling Kasumi to keep it and figure out what the data is.

No, Renegade is doing what the current mood of the current writer thinks is bad or what they think is cool.

I get what you're saying, but I've always taken it that in Renegade, the mission is all that matters above anything else, and is all Shepard considers, whereas in Paragon Shepard considers the affect his/her actions will have on others. It's an ends verses means thing.
Or, yes. Writers throwing darts.

That is the broad definition but there are....inconsistencies.....

Still, I think it is wise to keep it for now. Not because of her memories, but what the message is. It might be something critical, perhaps something that can be used as a leverage when assembling allies against reapers.

So far there is no "right" choice. Who knows what ME3 brings along though. It does bug me that keeping it is a Paragon choice. Keiji wants it to be destroyed, but Shepards curiosity and Kasumis borderline-unhealthy obsession over her dead boyfriend can make them keep it. I think "Its what he wants" part should have been Paragon (making her destroy the graybox). Neutral and Renegade makes her keep it, but for different arguments.
Same thing happened in Tali's loyalty mission. Are there any other moments when your squadmates want to go against the wishes of their dead loved ones?

Like BW made the choices contradict each other. Choose to keep it, must be good information with it being the paragon choice, but poor Kasumi stuck in a VR world with her dead BF. Or destroy it, no information but gives Kasumi a chance of moving on.
Hey, mabye Shepard really is a hidden paragon sadist!.

Edit -
Looked thru the scene again... (yay for fraps) and I believe it's reaper schematics. O_O
My reasoning is this - mostly on the legs, you can see it clearly as semi-transpart and you can see parts inside the mini... uh legs of the reapers.

Yeah, but in case of Tali, his father was obsessed and crazy, doing things that could label him warcriminal, AND that information can cause a lot of unrest amongst all quarians, not to mention ruin Tali's family name forever in the eyes of common folk if shown publicly. Not showing it definetly fits in the Paragon department.
