Yeah, if you see past the exterior, you will find many great things. They all have interesting and witty things to say while walking around/taking the elevator. You're missing out on alot.
Yes I like it when Wrex picks on Kaidan in the elevators even thought I like him haha

1. I dont like playing ugly characters. I'm sorry if all you macho men out there think ugly is better, but news flash. Girls do play games. And we tend not to like playing things with tentacles or blue and green skin.
yyeaaahh first off i think most girls who like to play video games are prettyyyy tolerable of things with tentacles r blue and green skin. hell i like the blue skinned characters, for me it wasnt wrex that saved my ass-it was liara.
i just wanted to clarify the stereotyping. not all gamer girls are stuck up - i promise(:

I agree not all girls are stuck up like Mekkie is. As you can see from my singrture I liked Liara, wrex, Garrus they all saved my butts a lot during battles. Tali I hardly use, but that is because she not useful to my fighting style even thought she is awsome, but her fans not so much. Kaidan also saved my butt a lot with his botic abtilies while I played solider.itskrystalxoxo wrote...

Wrex says he prefers to fight in very small groups, he tried a private army but hated it. He's not the type to coordinate fire teams.
Tali is a Quarian engineer on her pilgramage. Able to defend herself but not exactly a military liason type.
Liara is a scientist who spent the majority of her time alone looking at artifacts in ruins.
Garrus has issues with his superiors and left because he was frustrated with all of the rules in C-Sec...sound like the type of person who should be using military rules to coordinate squads?
Both Ashley and Kaidan, however, are Alliance military and extremely capable. Kaidan is the leader of the marines on the Normady and Ashley would have been promoted long ago except for her grandfather.
And again, it wasn't considered suicidal...just risky. If the dropship (reinforcements) hadn't shown up, both would have made it out.

Yeah, I know. I picked up Dragon Age:Origins, but I couldn't play it because there were no guns. I can't fight with a sword. They're cool and all, but I just can't do it. I was told it was a great RPG, but... why play a game when it's not fun?
But in all seriousness... have you ever even read a book?

the game is about aliens. I dont know why you installed it in the first place if you dont like them...
I dont mind stories about aliens. I just don't like playing them.
I was told it was a very fun RPG, and I could play as humans. Enough said. Apparently my friend convieniently left out the fact that Id lose one in the middle of the game. How could he have known? He's only one of the Edmonton devs..
And why should my favorite characters be immune to death? Well.. if i had the option to send one of the aliens along instead, I wouldnt be complaining. Wrex fans have a way to talk their way out of losing him. Human fans dont get the same choices? It's forced. There should be no forced anything in a game that was so acclaimed for its RP customization.
It's just lame imo. And it does take the fun away from me, because I enjoyed my squad. Sure if one of them had died in the first 5 minutes I wouldn't be so upset. I got attached to my squad, I have been playing them for weeks now, and I don't want to lose either of them.
So whatever. Flame away.
Oh yes, that makes sense. "I'll buy a game about aliens with the standard BW squad thing and there won't be any on my squad." Wow. Very smart.

Well, my initial response was
"Guys, I was playing Eden Prime. Corporal Jenkins has to die? Should I
uninstall or is there a way to save him? I *will not* continue with my
game without him."
So...yeah.

Actually Ive read alot of books.
And guess what? I didnt like Dragon Age either ;P ..though for very different reasons.
I find it hard to believe that all you weirdos are getting offended about me not wanting to play aliens..
If it helps you feel better, my friend gave me the game for free.. its not like I went out seeking an alien game. I just happened to get hooked to my characters, and don't want to play without them. Insane concept, I know.

Still not continuing the game, while accepting the loss and building it into your experience is odd, but each to their own.Why not play from the POV of fighting all the harder to avenge him
I believe I took on Garrus, as although my character disliked the Taurian race, he had a grudging respect for his methods.

ME2 Humans
Jacob Taylor
Miranda Lawson
Jack (Subject Zero)
Zaeed Massani
Kasumi Goto
Btw, would you have had an issue if you had to leave one of your alien squaddies on Virmire?

2. Ashley and Kaiden have been my squad since Eden Prime. Aside from hating ugly characers, i do like to roleplay with them. Originally, that was the whole point of *roleplaying games*, wasn't it?
Kaiden is my romance interest, and Ashley is like my best friend. The fact that bioware gives you NO option to talk you way out of sending either of them with the salarians, and NO option of avoiding the scene alltogether kind of destroys the RP sense of the game for me. There's no way my character would ever sacrifice one of her closest friends to a suicide mission.
I don't care if you can have a squad of 10 humans in Mass Effect 2, I'm talking about 1 here. And I choose not to continue playing without my ALL 3 of my favorite characters.
You can laugh or flame all you want, but I choose to not continue playing a game that greatly cripples the fun factor for me. Why play a game if its no longer fun?
LOL Why are you even playing this game in the first place? Just look at the box art. It should tell you that its got aliens in it.

It'd be a crap RPG if everything was always rosy and nothing horrible could happen to Shepard.
