No matter which shape you set up an elf, it always ends up looking a bit older looking.
Probably around early 30's to sometimes early 40's.
And the problem isn't so much attributed to how the face is designed but rather how the textures AND shape structure are set up in the original game. I made some changes which will fix this problem. I made some subtle adjustments which have helped my elf designs and should help the community to make elves with a youthful appearance.
A small crease under the eyes can make a difference in determining the age of a character. The changes are hard to see in this forum but can seen more clearly when you push "Right Click" and "view image". It will show you the differences between the two elf designs.

I also am looking into making individual makeup for elves and female humans. This should be helpful for others to enhance thier character designs.
Also, updated versions of companions will be made available.
This along with new redesigns of nearly 400 NPCs within Dragon Age. I went through and revised some of my old designs since December. This was something I had been working on for a while now and am excited to release to the public. This will contain new redesigns of the NPCs within Ostagar, The Mage Circle, Denerim, etc. When available they will be on Dragon Age Nexus.
