Who hasn't purchased it?

Loved Origins to bits, but let's just say that if it was this century's Baldur's Gate, Awakening sure
doesn't look like no Tales of the Sword Coast. How many here feel the same and haven't bought the game? Just curious.

I loved Origins. But awakening is $50 Aus and that's just too much. Though Origins was $110 it was worth every $. I would of bought it if it was a expansion as in continuing the first. But not interested in a seperate game.

Not asking this to gloat or to revel in dissatisfacted misery. I just happen to be extremely disappointed with what I've read, heard and seen about Awakening, decided not to purchase it for now, and doubt that I will in the future. Not complaining about the price (Europe), but the bugs, the glitches, the narrative disconnect, the butchered conversation system... *sigh*

...Bwa?! Tales of the Sword coast is probably the only expansion for any game I regret buying, at all. The only reason I bother to install it is because it ups the XP cap.

1. There is no way that I will download the 1.03 patch.
2. It's far to expensive
3. I hate the dialogue system. I ended up running around with the 'tab' key pressed. And what's with these exclamation marks? I want to talk to my allies, even if I end up clicking 'nevermind'.
4. It's too buggy
5. The whole thing doesn't have a real RPG feel. I simply can't connect to the story and characters properly
6. There are instances where the xpac pulls my favorite game (DA:O) and the characters far too OOC, imo
7. No toolset update yet. I'll wait till the modders get their hands on it. Perhaps some of the most glaring inconsistencies can be fixed.
8. Lack of continuity with imported characters, although that's not an issue with the Orlesian Warden.

Plus the glaring bugs and lack of support. I mean this is the first game that makes me relunctant to patch without getting feedback from others. (Yes, im still on patch 1.02). Makes you really realise what the priorities the developer has. And how short sighted it is to ignore quality and reputation.

back to the topic, at this point it would be somewhat unwise to acquire Awakening, wait until the price drops to 30$ and a patch comes out, i only bought it because i got the coupon code that gives me 20$ off.

The bad forum post helped lower my expectations making it seem all the better, I knew some DLC items didnt go but loads did so was happy, Only new bug I noticed was the stealing bug witch dont hurt in DAA cos there so much gold but is a real pain in DOA stupid 1.03 patch witch dont realy make sence as DAA isnt at anytime attached to DAO world.
Im assuming your not all morons & you know by now the loadest forum majority is always the whiners & most complaint post are just crying warden set & dead char back over & over, other radome complains could easy be caused from mods. Then its fanbois & there have no problems of any kind so just read between the lines.
Time the game lasts is down to the player imo, I get 15-20+ out of DAA cos I dig out ever detail/quest the game has to offer. Iv just started ME1 & even in that I can see I could just do the main lines & in DAO & both could last as little as 5-10 hour I suspect but Id buy HL if I just wanna blast content.
Im no fanboy also the games riddled with minor bugs that as a player you do seem to easly over look cos the story kept you to involed & Bioware constaly miss big stand out opotunities to make something even better.
All my char choices seemed to carry over & because spoliers you cant say much but there was more connection mentioned or witness then I was expacting after reading forums.
If you can get it for ok money e.g half the price of a new full game you shouldnt be dissapointed, im on PC version BTW so truely dunno if the consol version are ok bug wise.
I think this is the last time I can bother trying to counter all the whiners & you notice alot have already given up cos we got games to play wile the whiner aint so get off the fence & get ya self some more game time

So no I did not buy it and I will probably not buy it especially since I want to stay away from patch 1.03. Admittedly this is not a problem yet since I don't play on my current PC but my new one arrives in June and I will play the shyt out of DA:O on that, but not awakenings.

He means God of War 3 not Gears of War 3. I assume you got the two confused I may be wrong.

Good grief, never going there then, paid $80AU at Game Traders (PC version)... as for Awakenings, I'm just not sure about this one at all, especially for $50 AU... I'll wait for DA2 and hope for some greatly improved visuals.
