I read the description and have played dragon age awakening, and saying ohgrin is a favorite of the previous game is far from true. yes he packs quite a punch but he was bested by alistair, sten and even the dog. But the most useful and well story based ally was morrigan by far. her story was a difficult challenge and your interactions leave u wanting more only to be disatisfied in the end of the game by her sudden departure. when the description says bringing back an old favorite, ohgren was the last on my mind, it should have been morrigan for several reasons. as u know this takes place not too long after the blight and yet long enough for her to have had her child thus giving her full capability to joi  you in this quest. she didnt give you that ring for nothing. all im asking is will she be in an upcoming exspansion as a playable ally once again?

I do not know if what I was told is true or not, but a poster said morrigan will be returning.

Yes i saw that. i have followed this series well and have unlocked all endings and trophies so far and i will be sorely disappointed if she does not return as a playable character. a cameo is not enough

Explain this to me, i havent been on this forum for more than 3 days and never seen the word "cameo" used anywhere else, trying to use some sense here thinking npc you may not play but appear, but I do not know if that is correct.

Pretty much, it's the appearance of a previous character in a game.

I'm sorry, but I can't understand what you are trying to say.

At the first playthough she was actually quite interesting but at the second or third playthrough she get's very annoying and the more you get to know Oghren the cooler he is. The one I miss the most is Alistair though, always have him in my party.

When i first saw the broodmother in awakening i thought 'holy crap is that morrigan!' It would have made sense for her, having the remnants of a god inside her, to be the creator for the smarter darkspawn.

But there are so many ifs and butts. Most people probably didnt use morrigans ritual hence no baby. Hopefully they will be presumptious and suppose you did, or say 'you have to do it all again using her ritual if you want to play this expansion about her'

It would be awesome if they returned her, but i want the entire gang back! Could throw in sigrun, nathaniel and Anders in for good measure too

She will return, only for 30 seconds.

- i guess it would all depend on the actress who played Morrigan

- she has done alot of video game voice overs, so i don't think it would be about snubbing doing a video game voice over, perhaps she is doing other projects.

Idk, i think most everyone used the ritual.
1) She's hot
2) You live
3) get to use her for final battle.
4) Im just evil:devil:

She will return in DA2, it has been confirmed by BW (I think). Just because she is not in Awakening doesn't mean that she wont return on a later date.

My guess is that SHE won't retuyrn herself, but that her child will in some form or another.

Fernando Melo confirmed in an interview prior to Awakening being released that, while not coming back as a companion in the expansion, we will see Morrigan again at some point in the future.

www.bitmob.com/articles/no-time-for-romance-a-dragon-age-origins-awakening-interview

Bitmob: Will we see more
Morrigan?

FM: We made it very clear that Morrigan played a
very
important role in Origins, so it's safe to say at some point, we haven't
seen
the last of Morrigan. Whether that's in Awakening or not, we'll have to
see.

If I could have picked out one character to return for Awakenings.. it would probably be a toss up between Alistair, the best character in the game in my opinion, or Leliana.

I have no problem bringing Morrigan back if it as optional DLC, but there is nothing in the Morrigan story that is able to carry an epic game the length of DAO. There is however enough story that those who wish to chase after the swamp witch could spend a couple hours to sate thier Morrigan fix. This way those who want to chase after Morrigan can, those like me who have had MORE THAN ENOUGH Morrigan can pass, yet still enjoy the next game. Morrigan's part in the DAO story was minimal at best especially if you chose not to do the DR as that is the decision i usually make, 2 out of 18 plays are generous and allow Morrigan to be more than she is, more than she is worth, but for the most part i ignore her as the minor character she is, very much like some folks ignore Leliana or Wynne, who i think bring so much more to the game than Morrigan. So yes i do agree bring Morrigan back in a minor way in the form of some simple trite DLC as that is all her story is worth.

Thank you sharing your opinion with us, but that is all it is: your opinion, which may or may not be the same as that of other people here or even of writers themselves.

Just because you don't consider her to be worth much doesn't mean everyone else does that as well.

Ultimately, the writers will decide if they want to continue her story or not. Whatever they decide in the end ceirtainly won't be influenced by what you or anyone else here thinks.

That reply is a bit on the hostile side don cha think? Having a problem with a contrary opinion? Gonna cry some more about how no one really understand Morrigan quite the way you do, and why oh why can't we all just agree? Why don't you grab your binkie shove your thumb back into your mouth and cry like the little **** you obviously are.

That is a hostile reply.
