seems like the proper place to ask. if not, my bad.

So I've made a decent face morph for Velanna, and I'm just wondering how I would go about getting the game to use my morph instead of the slightly-off Bioware morph. thanks.

Two ways that I can think of:

1) Modify the NPC's .uti to use your new face morph and export it (and place it in the override folder)
2) Give your morph the same name as the default one when you save and export it (so in your case, ef_gxa000fl_velanna.mor is what you ultimately want).

EDIT: I should point out that the options I gave above were pretty much for the general case (replacing the head morph of an NPC).  The first option probably isn't going to work for Velanna with the toolset due to the fact that Awakening content isn't accessible by default.  However, naming your morph correctly and exporting it to local should still work.

Apologies, noob with the toolset, so you might have to walk me through it if you don't mind.

I have it posted to local and saved as ef_gxa000fl_velanna.mor, but I kinda doubt that's all I have to do.

Move over to the Pallet Window Area, and limit your search to "Creatures" (the red symbol next to the chat bubble). From there type the character you're looking for in the search box. When you find it, click on it and let it load into the toolset.

On the left side of the full figure of the character, there's a set of information that you shouldn't be able to edit since it's not the local version of the file. That is okay, since all you need to do is scroll down until you find the "Head Morph" box. In it is a name, such as hm_genfl_alistair.mor. This is what you have to name your morph.

Name that morph after that file and toss it into the override and you're good to go.

Hope that helps! Was tricky for me at first too!

EDIT: Whoops, I need to read before I write. All you need to do is what you've done. Rename your morph and dump it into the override.

You can actually organize your override folder a bit (nested up to two levels deep, from what I recall but I could be mistaken). This means that you can create a folder for head morphs in your override folder and then create a subfolder in your head morphs folder for just Awakening NPCs (or however else you want to sort it).

by two levels I assume you mean the override folder, a folder, and another inside that folder?

Correct.

So you could have something like:

override\\head morphs\\Awakening NPCs\\

I'm having problems getting my morphs to work. I made one for zev, dropped it in the override folder, and now he has no head. Can someone tell me what I should do to fix this problem?
