This is my first installation of Dragon Age: Origins and I'm doing it from a hard copy. Not even a few seconds after starting the installation process, I get an error window saying "Setup is missing critical files in order to run. Please check to make sure that you are running Setup from the original package." and installation is cancelled.
Found a tip to try copying the files to my hard drive and installing from there, but when it gets to the campaign_vo_english file, it says it can't read the file, preventing me from copying everything to the hard drive. Not sure where to go from here so any help would be appreciated.

You make the third person adding comments here to make the same mistake. This is a volunteer forum, with no paid positions, and the various Stickies pinned on top are where the information you need is waiting for all of you; at least, regarding the correct way to report problems. It even has "READ FIRST" to direct your attention to it, but if you would rather not follow the suggestions there, I personally am not interested in activating the sense of Clairvoyance that you seem to assume people in here must all have in abundance.
