So the Devs have posted all of the gameplay data for all of the things contained in the Kasumi DLC. Looking at this we see that Shadow Strike counts as a tech power and therefore benefits from all tech upgrades. Now the gameplay data also shows that it does double damage against ALL types of protection. So given that it can do up to 550 damage as a base we're looking at (with full 6/6 tech damage) a total of 1760 damage against sheilds/barriers/armor. Now if you take Rapid shadow strike you'll be doing 1440 damage against protections but it'll recharge almost instantly. That is one crazy power and in my opinion negates the need to bring any defense stripper  besides Kasumi.

On a side note the data shows that the Locust does 1.25X damage to all protections, exactly like an assault rifle, thereby literally rendering the assault rifle specialization pretty much pointless (unless you like the Vindi)

Ye it feels a bit TO much :/ I like both the new gun and Kasumi, but some parts are a breeze now with kasumi shadowstriking everything

Miranda gives me +15% weapon damage, that makes one-shotting enemies with Claymore possible. Defense stripping is useless to me, so Miranda is still the best choice (though she still has Overload and Warp) for me. Also, while Locust is great, Vindicator is still MUCH better. Kasumi is close though; Miranda + Kasumi is a very powerful squad.

I just did Insanity for the first time yesterday and I found it in most parts minus the hard parts to be like Normal Mode (just takes longer to kill things and must stay under cover). Note that I had Kasumi in my party at all times possible and that Locust is one heck of a gun. For the beginning of the game as an Infiltrator I only used the Locust until later.

That is very true about the squad weapon damage and such. The title was more of an attention getter than anything. Miranda is by no means useless or obsolete, just far less valuable now that you really don't need her defense stripping abilities anymore.

With rapid SS, at first, i thought the same thing. "SS after SS". Not the case. Ya if you time it right Kasumi will get the kill. But by the time she cloaks, "gets there", sets up, and strikes, you should have gunned the enemy down already.

For players having trouble with this, i can see them getting frustrated. I can time it correctly. But its honestly easier to just get the full hard hitting SS. The way i used rapid SS was to get the enemy's health low enough (when its just their health anyway they're easy to kill anyway depending on the weapon and class) and have Kasumi rapid SS while i move on to the next guy. Get their shields down or barriers, and send Kasumi again. Thats what i did at first. Took a while to get used to. As i would miss the kill shot for Kasumi.

Anyway, i actually like the Flash grenade better. I get the radius one. I use that and whoever else is on my time i use their area power. THAT owns. Now i roll with Kasumi, and Morinth. I use her dominate (dont like it on shepard) and take down enemies who are distracted with the turned enemy. Thats fun = ).

With big crowds, Flash bang (Kasumi not shepard), and area reave or warp, if geth, area over load. Thats my style though!

Am afraid this is not right Shadow Strike is split into two powers with the cloak being tech so gets the cooldown bouns but the hit is a combat power so gets no bouns from tech but does have a base x2.0 multiplier against shields, armor, and barrier so is still pretty powerfull but nowhere near 1760 damage:?
My goto squad is now Kasumi+Miranda FTW:ph34r:

I for one am glad I don't have to bring Miranda so often now. Really wish you could get another Warper early game though...

U can actually just strip the shields/armor/barrier off of most enemies then get like 1 hit from the locust in, THEN send kasumi on a rapid ss, and repeat.  On insanity, I found this to be VERY effective, as she usually hits them just as they get back into cover to regen their shields.  The only exceptions being vangaurds because they have all that health.  Just knock them down to about 70% health and your good tho.  But why argue about having ss or flashbang anyway??  She doesn't need overload at all!

Shadow strike does not replace warp or overload. It takes time for kasumi to make that strike, while a overload and warp from a squaddie is instant. Furthermore warp lets you detonate explosions if you or another squadmate have a biotic power like pull. Her strongest power is definitely the improved flashbang grenade.

This.
.
Edit: The shadow strike damage doesn't benefit from tech upgrades. Just the recharge time.

Overload with othe characters. I have tried rapid ss and the heavier one. I like the heavy hitter (suckaaaaa) more. I can do the rapid ss but it slows down the action believe it or not getting everyones health perfect. I rather her knock ou shields barriers shields whatever and use it all he time I stead of using it and missing the kill. It's doable. Just gotta be careful now with your enemies.
