Is the "experienced" voice-set for a male elf Warden done by Mark Meer, the same voice actor as Commander Shepard? I always find my male elf warrior sound like Commander Shepard when he shouts stuff during battles.
I think it's cool though, because I like Shepard's voice and I like the male elf "experienced" voice, it's my favorite voice-set from all the options you can choose in the character creator.

The ladder comments are part of the "voilent" voice sets, not the "experienced" sets. :)

Alrighty then. I still wonder who came up with those lines for the "violent" set. My first character was a pretty big violent dude so I gave him the violent voice, but he sounded more like a whiny emo-kid than a violent warrior to me.

Ahh well, I guess "emo b*tching" is considered "voilent" these days.

That's because the elf violent voice is Yuri bloody Lowenthal.

I thought the experienced elf voice was the best. I didn't know it was the guy from Mass Effect voicing that, which is pretty funny. Is he the most experienced voice actor of all the various ones? The other voices sound more like British weaklings. The only ones that sound any good are the Dwarf Suave, Elven Experienced, and the Elven Mystical (or whatever its called). I would rather they saved the money, and not hired the voice actors in order to give us some more freaking console patches...

I second this. Mark Meer is awesome. Only a few of his "happy" or "sympatethic" lines as Commander Shepard are a bit off. But then again, Jeniffer Hale also has many lines as Commander Shepard that sound weird.

But let's not turn this into a Mark Meer v.s Jeniffer Hale debate, it's the Dragon Age section after all.

The most anoying voice-set in DA:O is the Human Male Voilent voice-set and the Elf Female Voilent voice-set.
The Elf Male Voilent voice-set can be funny if you plan to roleplay an anoying teenage elf. If you want a teenage Grey Warden, the Elf Male Voilent voice is the voice for you.

I also don't like any of the mystical voice-sets, but that's just me. Male Elf Experienced voice-set all the way! I edited my Human Male Warrior save-file with the Toolkit to give my Human Male Warrior the Elf Male Experienced voice-set. The voice sounds awesome on humans too!

I'm pretty sure it's the "cocky" voice set that does the ladder comment. I play violent all the time without the comment.

Speaking about voices, I've downloaded Malcolm (The Warden main character guy from Warden's Calling & Sacred Ashes vids).

Well, I am not sure what voice would fit him the most, currently using the human violent set. Any suggestions?

Human Male Experienced voice or (use Toolset for this) Elf Male Experienced voice. NOT the voilent voices, they suck, all of them.

PS: Stupid question but how do I upload my own DA character as my avatar (I know you can do it in the character creation section but obviously I'm already playing with my current char and I see no way to upload his avatar or return to the character creation menu to upload his avatar.

There should be an Online Profile option in game; hit that and it uploads all your characters where you can select which avatar you want to use...

I think, anyway. BRB checking.
As for the OP... I personally like Human Male cocky.

Edit:
It's Player Profile -> Online Profile

Speaking of voices, is the female Violent voice Jennifer Hale? I swear, the first time I played a female Shepard I was expecting the ladder comment any moment...

That's the one I'm currently using. None of them are that good to be honest. I wish they had gotten a good VA and just let him/her use the same voice for all of the voice sets.

Of course then you might be stuck with grimdark and that's annoying. To cliched.

I really don't like any of the voices, I want someone with a deep voice that can intimidate someone. I usually end up picking cocky or experienced depending on the character. If its a female character I want her to sound sexy lol.

Toolkit. Open your save-file, go to your character's tab and look for the parameter for the voice-set (it will look something like this: hm_exp if you have a Human male experienced voice-set). Just change it to em_exp and you're set.

No, I recognized several long time VAs among the many voice sets.
