This is a gush post more than anything. So, I just finished my Queen Cousland playthrough an hour or two ago, and the post-coronation ceremony was just... ahh. It was so worth it. You could practically see the love radiate from Alistair. He gives you the sweetest smile after his speech (amongst other things)!

I'm wondering though, does he smile the same way if you made him king under different circumstances? Like, if you didn't harden him, or if you didn't romance him at all? Just curious.

Can't wait to hop into Awakening to see his cameo. x3

If you didn't harden and are in love with him you still get the same smiles. I just did this 1 yesterday. As far as not being in a relationship, I don't know, I've never done that playthrough.

His cameo in Awakening is really sweet I thought, short but sweet lol.

seriously adorable pic there. If you king him and he's a friend, he treats you less intimately but still gives you the smile (to be honest SO does Anora for that matter). I think it has more to do with CGI animation and position of the animation than any affection the NPC might feel for the PC. If you tell Anora you will go traveling (or something like that) she actually seems saddened and asks you to stop back in soon or (something similar) which I assumes is the Alistair response too. Still its nice to imagine anyway.

I know one thing for sure, I didnt get a smile when he saw me at Vigil's Keep, or at least not as big of a smile when he see's his lady there.

Alistair's face is definitely better than Zevran's. Got my mage PC to love stage with Zev and he wouldn't even look at me. There better have been something incredibly sexy on the ceiling for him to have spent the entire conversation gawking and rolling his head at it like that o_O

Oh, I know how you feel. xD When I romanced Zevran on a different playthrough I was hoping for some sort of heart-felt dialogue during post-coronation. It was a little demoralizing, but I suppose that's just how Zev rolls. Which is perfectly understandable given his history.

What? Zev doesn't angle for some post coronation nookie like romanced Alistair does? Al made me giggle at that totally inappropriate comment in the middle of the party. Completely Al to not care who over hears him and he will do what he wants regardless of that bastard Eamon.

I've played through as various different characters and I can honestly say this is my absolute favorite ending. The love between Alistair and HNF is so cute. I say consequences be damned, it's worth it!

No nookie from Zev, just assassination talk and some discussion about the future.

When I first heard Alistair utter the line "These formal affairs drive me insane" my immediate thought was "This is the best argument yet for why you should be king." Rowr.

Yeah, it makes sense. I was more disappointed by the lack of (a) any eye contact (rofl, whut?) ( inappropriate proposition to get busy in one of those alcoves... XD

I think he told my HNF to behave or he'd have to punish her when she got home. But really, with that voice, he could probably whisper "falafel" and get a swoon.
