I have a dwarf that didn't romance anyone and I use her when I want to take pictures of a dwarf wh0ring it out in the Pearl mods. Don't play a dwarf if you're not into it. In fact, if you want to try a dwarf, but can't stand the thought of suffering through 30 or 40 hours of gameplay in origins, just make a dwarf in Awakening and you'll be done before you know it.
If they add a dwarf romance at some point AND I can import my old dwarf characters over, I'd rather have one of my hero-of-Ferelden dwarves be the first to try out the new dwarf romance instead of starting from scratch with a new dwarf that probably won't have an origin like the orlesian.
To be honest, I get why modders don't want to work on dwarf + elf/human scenes, but I don't get why they just haven't made it possible for a dwarf to have sex with another dwarf instead. There are so many opportunities in the game -- the dwarf female can have a cutscene with Dwynn instead, the male dwarf noble can have a scene with the two noble-hunters, etc. And not to mention the dwarf prostitutes at the Pearl, too.
Dwarves are bad ass enough that they don't really need romances to define them anyway. As gameplay lore goes, it's likely that our human and elven love interests won't be welcomed in Orzammar should we choose to return to our hometowns. It's somewhat of a social stigma to breed with a non-dwarf since we are a shrinking race and have a harder time procreating amongst ourselves.
Gorim left me. Alistair left me. Nathaniel didn't pay attention to me. I'm ready to be dumped again in February. BRING EEET ON!
