Well, he is vocally against Loghain in the beginning when it's not quite as popular. And, apparently, he was supposed to stay at Redcliffe at the end but he ends up in Denerim anyway. That second one could be less rebelliousness and more a glitch in the Matrix.
Oh! And he flirts openly with mages, dwarves and elves. That's a little rebellious.

And to look up all worried and concerned for PC and Alistair, because he knows that's who just stopped the archdemon.
I prefer to think of him as rebelling and going to do what he knows is right instead of sitting at home, letting others do the fighting for him.
And I love that he says he's in the Chantry at Redcliffe because he can protect the villagers there if it comes to the worst.

Are you talking about using the DR sequence for the Cousland sex scene? Or is this something else?
