I never got into Morrowind.
I actually prefer Morrowind to Oblivion. The main story is much more interesting and less generic than Oblivion's.

It's a fantasy RPG in which you happen to be in the right place at the right time and you need to save a world from destruction by getting a bastard on the throne where he belongs. Also, it's bad news for kleptomaniacs and those with OCD who want to grab everything that's not nailed down. But you do get houses to store your mountains of calipers, paintbrushes and endless sets of cutlery, so that's cool.

It's not the story that gets me about Morrowind, I just can't do the crappy graphics and controls.Kryyptehk wrote...

More info*spends much time decorating her houses*
BF: Look at your inventory! No wonder you're always encumbered. Why do you need all those potions, anyway?
SF: Certainly not for lining up on my mantle!
BF: *gives me that "You have no idea how to play video games" look*
SF: *spends next 8 hours lining potions up on mantle and artfully arranging collection of city specific chainmail cuirasses in foyer*

LOL My husband and I had this same conversation after he observed me laboriously moving stuff around. I would try to put food on the plates to make it look happy and lived-in. I would just get the table looking appetizing, and a slight twitch of the mouse would send everything flying. Good times.SurelyForth wrote...

I wonder if the gaming companies realize how easy to please female gamers really are.

LMAO! I have a special shelf in each house for potions with sentimental value. And the cuirass, yeah me too. As you enter Rosethorn Hall.
This cannot even touch my obsession with decorating my Megaton home in FO3. I had every available surface covered in teddy bears and race cars, and a domino chain of Vault-Tech lunchboxes running upstairs. It was the biggest waste of time, but I loved doing it.

Hehe, I also thought there was something about Sheogorath. That game messes with your head.
Shut up! My bf was playing Shivering Isles last night and I definitely managed to work up some squee for Sheogorath and Haskell (different kinds of squee, of course).
I've been looking at Oblivion on steam, but can't commit. Curse Bioware for addicting me to romance sub-plots.

Lol, you walk in the house and hear "clank clank" and think Oh shyte! Hours or arranging down the drain!
Yes! The worst was my bow collection that exploded without me even being near them. *sob* I ended up just strewing them across the bed and imagining that, were I to stumble upon some poor sap willing to spend the night with me, I could have a fun little conversation about my passion for, uh, bows.

FO3 really, really needed party banter and chatter. I so wanted to hear Charon say "WTF is that?" about my newly purchased heart-shaped bed and PG-13 chandelier.SurelyForth wrote...

Did I mention I had a little Charon crush, too?
