He looked sad to me when he says that, not cranky.  There's really nothing for him to say because he can't do anything about it anyway.

Well, yeah. But it rather amused me, considering Zevran came right after and laid one on her. Alistair is actually supposed to kiss the PC with that line...but he just toddled off...lalala. And holy crap my PC CAN smile!



Sad Alistair...he did not make her smile...
