Stay away from brown. I'm a real life red-head (though it is nearer to brown I suppose) and brown doesn't really look good with red-heads. Try blue or green...that's what most of my characters have if they are red-headed.

Light skin will require something more subtle.  Give her a "season" (spring/summer etc) and work around those colors.  I would think subtle (unless it washes her face out too much) but tone down the intensity of the makeup.

Yeah, you guys are confusing me with your seasonal talk. Ok, so if I were to go with blue eye shadow, what lipstick? I must have OCD because I am never happy with what I do.

No hurry at all - I've got just over a month to my thesis defense, so things are going to move really slowly before that anyways.  I'm only writing a little now because I can't think straight enough to write materials and methods when the sleepy meds are warping my brain.

I'm a slow writer anyways - it's one reason why I'm writing a DA:O timeline story first before I get to the one I really want to write post-DA.  lol Practice writing practice writing, as it were.


I've got yours on my to-read list too!  We Dalish lovers gotta stick together!

I have no idea.  My PCs are strictly JC Penney off the rack compared to many of y'uns. 

Axekix has a redhead PC that looks nice and I think her eyeshadow is green.

I barely ever put makeup on my characters, and when I do it's very light. I've tried to make characters with darker eyeshadow and lips but they always end up going back to a natural, light look.

Same here. I'm really proud on myself when I can get 3 chapter in a month out. I need my time for a chapter and watch with amazement how some people are posting a chapter every second day  . Then again I have no chapter in store, so the ones I'm posting are always the actual ones.

Fortunately, I now has beta-reader too, who will sort the grammar crap out, lol.

I will read your FF when I take a break from writing mine. Reading of/about other Dalish elves confuses me somehow, and I can't get into Lenya's char then afterwards.

lOL you could read mine.  The only Dalish in it is dead (US) but it does have a little city elf child

Meeee too - 3 a month would be great for me.

Reading other fics hasn't bothered me too much - Kara has been in my head for awhile, even though I'm still fleshing her out and discovering things as I write.  I just hate it when I come across a story element I had already planned on using, then I feel like I have to apologize and be clear that I had thought of it before reading it...  >.>

Anyways, thanks!  I'm getting nervous, but I can't wait to be done.  I was NOT cut out for research, at all, and I need to be done done done!

Base your makeup choice on her eyecolor. Blue eyes...browns or pinks work well. Brown eyes, greens generally accent, Green eyes...gray, pink,

My Brosca's is pretty severe. But I'd also suggest turn off the makeup in the toolset, and cycle through Bidelle's makeup files instead. They're actually a skin texture.
