You know the rule of the Dragon Age forums, it always turns into a debate about Loghain.

OK, so I'm playing through the HN origin. If Arl Howe didn't know about what was going to happen at Ostagar, would he really do what he did? Knowing that Fergus and his men would eventually come back, and knowing the following that House Cousland has? It seems to me that he KNEW that Fergus would not be returning. Is my logic flawed here? So those who say that Loghain did not "plan" to abandon Cailen, how do you explain this?

Duncan says that with everyone in the castle dead, Howe could tell Cailan any story he wanted, probably that the Couslands were traitors. I'm sure that he had people in place to kill Fergus. That would be the argument.

I always figured that it might have meant that he expected Cailan to be dead, but David Gaider has said that Loghain made his decision on the battlefield. If that's the case, Howe couldn't have known that Cailan would die.

It may just be a case of Howe having an unrealistic perception of himself. He may have thought that everyone would believe what he said about the Couslands and that Fergus would become a hunted man. Howe probably didn't think of himself as a lying, skeevy bastard, nor of Bryce as the most honorable man in Ferelden.

I'm not talking about knowing that Cailen would die, I mean Fergus.

I know, but it boils down to 'why did Howe think he could get away with it?' There are only two possible choices, one, that he knew Cailan wouldn't be on the throne to prosecute him (the more unlikely, in light of what Mr. Gaider has said), and two, that he didn't think anyone would be alive to counter his story. That argues that he planned to kill Fergus--which Bryce seems to think likely, or that with everyone in the castle dead, Howe could blacken his name to the point that he wouldn't be believed.

For a reason I don't understand the modded hair isn't showing properly during certain scenes.  I'm assuming that is when Leliana is talking to you for the first time?  The same thing was happening when Isolde would come running for the first time.

Oh look...it's morning. Where's my coffee? I have a Dalish to get through this game, and I'm not sure I can do it. I have no Alistair pics at the moment. But, For KoP, my favorite Morrigan scene. I don't care what anyone says, I love her. And her goodbye at the gate always makes me a little weepy. Is she power hungry, manipulative, and out for herself...yes. But she does care about your PC by the end, male or female.

I don't care about Loghain. I have a more pertinent question. When you guys think of magic what color do you think of? I know the IA robes have glowing blue areas.

Because no one had any Morrigan pics to lure you back in the thread, and we were rather missing your evil awesomeness.

But my Loghainadar actually tells me which threads I shouldn't go to, cause I am tired of participating in those debates (and yet I want to at the same time).

So if you folk really miss me, Morrigan pics only. Preferrably her evil smirk one Posted Image

It worked, though.

And look...someone even sent some Morrigan love your way!

The mage robes include the hands in the mesh. If I was able to put rings on the fingers would that be something you guys would be interested in seeing?

She is the best character in the game.
And a little weepy would be an understatement in my case. I felt almost depressed for 2 days and I didn't want to start any new game, cause I thought this ending was perfect.

I don't know that I think about a color. But we're talking Grey Warden mages right? So I would think A nice charcoal gray with royal blue and darker gold accents.

I know what I have about mage armor...forst the robes are too long. And if you wear the tevinter style, everything is just hanging out there. The closest I've gotten to really liking a mage robe is the mod that turns Tevinter robes into this..

at least it seems to add a little more protection.

I think it depends on the kind of magic/mage

I like the glowing blue. I like dark colors on all my mages, well on everything tbh.

As far as the leliana thing, it is NOT like that at the after Lothering camp, but the camp afterwards it is.

When we think of magic in regards to what?  Armor/weapons/spells?

I'm not actually crafting a totally new 3d mesh. Sadly that's outside my range of expertise. I'm just recoloring/retexturing game meshes. The robe I'm working on is working off of Anora's dress. I personally don't believe in having female bits hanging out everywhere in combat. Not that robes provide much protection but it's cold in Ferelden.

Blue.
But if you want robe color, then dark red, which sadly doesn't exist.

I want my mage to dress like those Arcane Horrors! But alas, no.

The base of the robes I'm making are gray/black I need a high light color.  I know IA uses blue glow on their mage robes.  I was thinking a light blue.

Ohhh nice choice! I'd definitely say deep blue, and dark gray, and gold (i think that dress already has gold trim?)

And because I haven't had Wynne to do this to lately...

Griffons??:innocent:
