Note the smaller body. They ain't taking naps!!Posted Image

and does the **** feel remorse? maybe but look at her response when you choose to kill Connor...

None of this mess would have happened if SHE had REMEMBERED this before sacrificing all those men, women and children all to keep her child with her.

I think Howe also planned on no one escaping from Highever and being able to set the Couslands up, per what Duncan says to Cailan when you first meet him.

Okay, how beautiful is this shot of Alistair?

Maybe I'm missing something here, but having no survivors means he'll go unpunished?

P.S. See my sig. :D

That's too harsh, she had no idea this would happen and that people would die (so she is not sacrificing anyone). And she is not telling to let Connor kill people; she is simply begging you not to kill him, but to kill her because it's her fault.
She willingly offers her life for you to end it.

Hmm, if anyone noticed my little ugly poem a few pages back, I am still wondering why it is so difficult to muster empathy for certain "annoying" characters.

I know, I know, everyone can like or dislike characters as much as they want, and for whatever the reason, but it is difficult to understand if sometimes the reasoning is "because he is stupid" or something like that.

A character can just be a human (or well mortal in DA:O) and do humane mistakes, that's all.

Now that is a surprisingly effective argument. I never noticed the dead child before. :(

So I decided to try and play the new DLC and I had to quit in the Marketplace. Sure, killing Howe and Coerlic (and Ogre-grabbing Goldanna) was somewhat satisfying, but I couldn't bring myself to kill Bann Teagan and Gorim. Ask me for a pound of my flesh,or all of the gold in Orlais. Just don't ask me to hurt the ones I love like they're faceless nobodies.

Surely, yes that was hard, but at least I can say I did it. Just wait until you run Alistair through, it reminds me of squishing a bug. Others weren't bothered by it but I was.

I actually felt a whole lot more sympathy for her when I chose to kill Connor.  Like, oof, she really got to me.

She has mages in her family and calls them "evil" so she KNOWS there are risks with magic.  She allowed Loghain's man (Jowan) to be there without telling Eamon (because Eamon would insist on doing "The right thing" and sending the boy to be trained). Her actions succeed in putting everyone in the village and the castle at risk, including her son and her husband.
Yes she doesn't have the gift of precognition but she certainly doesn't look like she is losing any sleep over all those dead people including the children.

Besides I'm taking the harshest stand so Cmessaz can find a 'motivation' to sacrifice her.  Used to be I would take the Tower solution and pragmatism didn't work (even on my Cousland who was very stoic and pragmatic).  Figured I would go with Templar vengeance for all those innocents she allowed to be killed.

Well, I can only speak for myself here, but what I said about Isolde's annoying voice was a joke. I don't like her because of her actions. Especially when I am a mage.

Of course, she allowed emotions to get in the way of logic, hence why she messed up pretty badly. But she is a mother, so her relunctance to be seperated from her son can be understandable.
However, I would not consider her directly responsable for these deaths. More like, her actions indirectly caused them. And yes, she does feel guilt. She begs Connor not to kill or harm anyone. But she isn't losing sleep over it as having your son being possessed kind of makes you forget about everything else.

And the tower solution does not exist in my books. I absolutely hate this 3rd easy way out. Hate it.

I also dislike her attitude if you go with the Tower solution. She lumps all the blame on Jowan's shoulders and has this "feeeew...I really dodged a bullet here...now let's wake up my husband">

Actually THIS more than anything makes me feel some empathy for Loghain and the crap he had to put up with under Orlesian rule. IF they were like her...I think I would have been a tad paranoid myself at the thought of them coming back into Ferelden.

Sacrifice Isolde, as she is a willing participant. That's Arcturus' choice.
Dain Aeducan was not going to risk his mage by sending heron a fool quest in the Fade, nor did he trust Jowan, so he killed Connor.

I base Arcturus on myself, so I would go with his decision. But he knows it's a risk.

I'm having a hard time justifying killing either with my noble. Maybe I'll have to wait until I play my mage.

I pretty much sacrifice Isolde every time. The only exceptions being Aidan, since she destroyed the mages, or if I'm playing a mage.
