FF.net is pissing me off again btw, I now am missing traffic for ten whole days and I'm still counting
I know! It was bad enough when last month it was down for five days but since the dragon age fandom isn't as big as some of my other ones and thus less revews when I can't see that peole are at least
reading a story I tend to lose the will to update...

I especially have that when reading a Dalish fic...it drives me nuts when the author is making a Mahariel best friends with all her companions immediately after meeting and is uber-friendly to every stranger she sees. It just feels...artifictional to me. Then again I'm a sucker for slow friendship/reletionship building so this more a general thing and not restricted to Dalish ficlets, I guess. Though it especially strikes me odd with the general distrusting Dalish PC.
Yeah, it's really hard for me to read DN fics because they are so at odds with how I RP the character. All they ever wanted to do was kill darkspawn and so even though their beloved younger brother's betrayal hurt them deeply they are glad to get away from icky politics and join the GW. They may or may not have been in love with Gorim and are so very hurt and upset when he doesn't wait for them so they must go immediately find comfort in the arms of their trusty fellow Warden who does not even remotely resemble their little brother and they they go off making Alistair king but refuse to be mistress (I would probably have to stop reading if they did because what self-respecting princess WOULD go that route?) and pine away for him forever and never, ever return to Orzammar beyond Deep Roads expeditions. Every. Single. Time. Oh, and there may be a magical half-dwarf baby out of the union.

I don't know why I hate Alistair/Aeducan so much. I like Alistair/Cousland and despite hating the ending for the Surana, Amell, Mahariel, Tabris, and Brosca romances they do have their good points but the Aeducan romance is like kryptonite to me...and to make matters worse I found a really good story about moments that aren't in the game that has that pairing but I have to keep reading it because they include so many little details that probably would't have occured to me but makes sense like the DN not being sure whether it's okay to trample the grass by walking on it, Ostagar not having any dwarf-size armor since she's the only dwarf there, Alistair asking Morrigan to preserve the rose...
