And to Merrisell - yeah, my Dalish was completely unaware of the fact that Alistair's heritage was actually important, or that he was a serious contender for the throne, because things just don't work like that in the clan.  She's the former Keeper's daughter after all, and in no way in line to be the next Keeper (though I imagine that perhaps the clan hoped she would be) so it just didn't mean all that much that he was a bastard prince.  Imagine her surprise then when Eamon brings out the "Oh yeah, we're going to put Alistair on the throne, even though he doesn't want it!"  <--- My Dalish

Heh, this is going to be a great WTF- moment for Lenya as well :wizard: Actually, the templar thing was just an example.

I play/write my Dalish (in the beginning) as a bitter, cynical person who on the other hand is walking wide-eyed and amazed/curious through the human world, discovering things she has never seen before. I can picture her showering Alistair with questions after having warmed up to him (which will take a while) As daughter of the keeper she has been very sheltered all her life and despite the occacional adventures through the forest she made,  she never had the desire to leave the border of her clan. She is now in the process of seeing that the world offers more than simply the woods and that it is maybe not a bad thing to travel all through Ferelden...cuz she will see things now, she otherwise never would have seen. Which also means she is very unaware of the human culture, all is foreign to her ...similar to Morrigan in which she quickly found a kindred spirit.

As for the chantry...she has a sketchy idea of it and hates it with passion due to the things done to her people.

( Revered Mother: "Will you make a donation to the chantry? Our need has never been greater."
Lenya: "Why? Does the chantry destroy the homeland of those who will not donate?" )

Though she never has seen a templar before. All the things she knows about it, she will get to know from Alistair or see for herself in the circle of Magi for example. She doesn't understand the concept of mages being monitored and locked up in the tower, as for her magic being used is a natural thing and nothing to fear of.

However long story short: She has much to learn, it's a long process in every single way. Which she eventually will, though. I love faulty and  flawed characters, who grow and develop within the game/story. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/heart.png[/smilie]

I'm not sure if Templar/chantry even bother to track the Dalish down, they are hard to impossible to find after all, and wander on after a time. That is the reason the meeting of the keeper and clan's does only take part every ten years, and the clans themselves have little or no contact to each other, so that they can't be tracked down.

But it really interesting to see other viewpoints/takes on the Dalish here. I always have seen them as a closed community, who don't bother with the world of humans if they don't have to. Hence my Mahariel's unawareness of so many things.

I apologize for the off Alistair topic question here.
When you're putting down the revolt in Awakening's, I know if I use the persuade checks they'll revolt again later so in order to avoid that I need to put the revolt down now with unfortunately a little bloodshed. How do I do this, do I just go ahead n tell the captain to do it gently the first time without using any persuasion checks or what?

use the imtimidate option instead of the persuade check, no bloodshed and no repeat

You live in NYC and you root for the Sharks?  I live in San Jose, and I barely know of their existence.  LOL
