Yay, as it turns out this thread can go very wild (cows...wtf) even without me. For a moment, I thought I was the culprit.

If there is bestiality involved, then so am I (most likely).

I think you were the one who brought it up, right?

I really wonder why the Alistair thread is the only one that managed to spawn bestiality. I don't think even the Tali thread managed that.

Why? Is it some kind of Ferelden perversion? Or was it due to some Orlesian corruption caused by everyone's favorite redhead bard?

Hockey.

Which team?

Sorry, I'm living over in Europe right now, have no clue what's going on sportswise back in North America. :(

San Jose Sharks ;-; They had magnificent playoff beards, I will miss that the most.

You live in NYC and you root for the Sharks?  I live in San Jose, and I barely know of their existence.  LOL

I was born and raised in San Jo. Hadn't been back for years, then went back to visit my grandpa.

The Pruneyard.....very different from the days when I'd get drunk in the parking lot of Tower Records and meander on over to the yard for munchies.

It is because the cult of Alistair rivals that of Bachuss/Dionysus in the natural weird factor of it's adherents. ^_^

*fist bump*  I live pretty close to the Pruneyard, in fact.

Now the stalkers know where to look for me.  But hurry up, because the old man and I are going to blow this joint before too long.  Silicon Valley is too crazy and too expensive.

It was caused by Anders. But I think that there has been a discussion about it in the Zevthread too. And your own topic included a dragon as the most attractive female.

hence, why, within hours of the State of California putting the diploma in my head, I was flying out to South Carolina for a life in the army.

And when i returned to Silicon Valley, I was heading for a new life in Seattle within 2 years.

I know your pain.

I worked there for years while getting a degree at UCSC. I'm quite
happy to not drive Hwy 17 anymore, but since I traded San Jose for Los
Angeles, I don't think I'm too much better in the crazy and expensive
dept!

I've been too Georgia. Lovely place, but gimmie the West coast. Too damned humid in the summers. Reminds me of Ohio and Florida as a kid.

I need my mountains, rain, and Californian refugees clogging my freeways.

Santa Cruz was the only thing that made living in South San Jose worthwhile. 20 minute ride to hippe/skater/surfer heaven.

San Fransisco came second. Much further and a little scarier.

I <3 Santa Cruz. If it weren't for my job, I would be back there in a heartbeat!

It's one of the few things I really miss about there. From the time I was still on my mother's teat, I was spending weekends in Santa Cruz, where the majoriy of her ex-commune buddie had briefly fled.

When I cut school, me and my friends used jump into my buddy's van and head down to Greyhound rock to admire the sea and smoke...errr...stuff.

i was even concieved there!:wizard:

We lived in Southwest PA our entire lives (til the age of 28) until he suddenly and abruptly elisted in the Army a month after 9/11. Our first duty station was in Fairbanks, Alaska. It was awesome. Then they sent us here and I've hated it every minute. Summers are ok, but rain from September through May is really hard on me. I have seasonal depression, now mind you the dark winters in AK were fine, because at least in the short amount of daylight, there was sun. But Winters here...ugh constant gray and wet. And I'm never warm, I always feel chilled because of the constant wet. Other than that it's the city feel that is driving me nuts. From small town PA, to small town AK to Seattle/Tacoma just...ugh. I'm a small town/country gal. Gimme the south, gimme the humidity if you must be get me out of here...lol

Santa Cruz is like a trip to the zoo.  "Look kids, a hippie in its natural environment."

No, it's not actually. Even the Devil didn't want to stay here.

i thought that was further up north in Humboldt and Shasta counties.

Santa Cruz is where hippies too ambitious, concious, and poor to live in Haight Ashbury go.
