Lock Bash mod FTW.  It's also really sexy to have Alistair smash a chest to bits.

This. After playing a million warrior Couslands, I finally gave up and got the mod.

She basically says **** off to all spirits that she meets. She is clearly against consorting with spirits, be they benevolent or demons.

I can think of her telling the Guardian off, but that's because he was up in her business.  What other spirits do we encounter?

She tells of the Flemeth spirit in her fade dream at the tower, and will tell off Connor's demon if you send her in.  Morrigan wins pretty hard when it comes to demons.

I like that idea also...  speaking of mages..  I just created a Dalish elf mage.. anyone else?

It seems to be a trend at the moment.  :)

Her fade dream and cruisin' the desire demon.

Right, but those are demons.  I just can't see Morrigan turning down any chance to become more powerful as a mage.

She isn't that benevolent or noble either, which are the other requirements. Or charisma, which I don't think she has sufficiently of.

Wouldn't she have consorted with demons then, if she wouldn't turn down a chance for power?

My last mage I Rp'd as an Avaar/barbarian mage. It was actually rather fun to play.

The mage origin actually gives alot of leeway and room to develop a variety of backstories.

You know, I've never actually used Morrigan all that much, especially at higher levels. I should fix that. Any recommendations as to how to spec her out?

Take Cone of Cold at her first level up, Force Field at her second.  From there  you have plenty of options.

I usually max her frost/lightning trees and go for spell might for SoTC.    Misdirection hex is also a huge plus (makes tanking heavy hitters like Cauthrien a breeze).

If you run a melee heavy party you may want to get Telekenetic Weapons and Death Hex.  Pretty straight forward I'd say. :)

All excellent suggestions, thank you.

My favorite party is my S&S war, S&S Alistair and DW Zevran, so yeah, melee heavy.  XD

I did but trashed her, and made two circle mages instead. I just can't do the Dalish origin a second time, and can't make myself believe the Daish mage thing, since each clan only has like 2, And the circle gives me two distinct ways to begin the character...I like that.

It really does, my Elf blood mage took some CEF elements. I typed it out a few pages back. My human mage will just be little miss "good girl! you caught the maleficar, as your reward...have fun with the grey wardens!" with no real past except being a great mage, and a bit evied by the others.

Well she's not stupid.  Demons never give but that they take more.

I think categories can be bent, especially when you're in a wartime situation.  You don't need to be some paladin to learn spirit healing techniques.  My Warden comes and shoves a book in Morrigan's lap and says "learn it."  There might be some catclaws involved, but at the end of the day, I am gonna say that Morrigan would do what she needs to in order to see the Warden succeed.

Ok all you d/ling armor mod experts Posted Image.  Is there an armor mod out there that looks similiar to this for Origins?  I love the colors but I can do without the face in the middle.

My elven mages are the good girls, while my human mages are manipulative and power-hungry.

I haven't played a "good girl" mage, though I imagine I will and set her up as a healer. My two mages thus far have been "neutral" and "bad" to varying degrees.

I do realize I must do one playthrough as a Chantry sucker, and since I wouldn't mind the achievement, I'll go for a dimwit/brainwashed mage.

Yah.. I thought about just an elf mage from the circle... did that on xbox so wanted to try something different.. even do a major Zevran romance..

My human mage is going to romance Alistair.. even though it's not such a good ending but, thought it would be fun to put the "Templar" with 3 magesPosted Image

Mercy!  I wish your PC was a romanceable character.

You could get the GW Runic Armor with the optional black retex.

My biggest issue with playing a Dalish mage is that since it is modded there is no recognition of your status as, for all intents and purposes, an apostate. It's pretty funny to hear NPCs go on and on about apostates in this case though. Yet... my favorite character is a Dalish mage. And while there may only really be one or two official mages in a clan at a time, I don't think it is beyond the realm of possibility that there may be others with the potential. I dunno, that's just the way I thought of it :/

The wiki says there is only 1 or 2 per clan, but the wiki is also notoriously unreliable.  And anyway, the Warden is always the exceptional one, no matter what origin you play.

Yeah, I mentioned that xD I figure if you're the child of the previous Keeper there's also more potential there. Most of what you learn will be on the road anyway, so you could even just not use any spells until you hit the road and actively try to learn magic. Meh, there are a ton of ways you can RP it, it's not that big a conflict as playing, say, a dwarven mage :P

Theres an achievement for being brainwashed?

I just want one dark and one good...I have a neutral that already completed both games but i don't like her face. My Blood Mage, Jaina..

"Ugh...I love this blood mage already. Her hair, her face, everything.
But unless I have a clear route in my head I can't budge from the tower.
I've been touring the tower the last several minutes, listening to
gossip (the blood mage stuff is making me grin wickedly).

I have
her tattoo figured out, she was discovered as a mage in an Alienage, I
guess Denerims, in her teens, she was drugged, and marked by a bastard
noble's son (Vaughn maybe, surely the CEF wasn't his first victim) Who
made her his plaything (oh look justification for killing his arse
later) So noone else would want her. She made her escape using magic and
was thus caught and shipped to the tower.

She learns blood
magic on the sly, after leraning the control it can inflict upon others,
assuring she never gets controlled that way again.

She teases
cullen for fun, her own amusement.

Joining the wardens is her
ticket out. And Insurance that she can't be touched by the templars as
Maleficarum."

Clearly this one ain't romancing the templar unless I want to go really dark with her, and make it a power grab. But I don't...i'd rather put her with Zev, and go off to rebuild the wardens. Sticking around Denerim would be tempting fate once the hero worship wore off.

Evie...well I just can't think of anything for her outside of remembering only the tower as her "family". I think she'll help Jowan, but be rather ticked off at him at the end. I don't really like entering the GW as a reward for ratting out a supposed friend. I like Duncan's reaction when you stand by Jowan as well.

Ya I got the GW Runic Armor ready for Origin's but because I'm going to reuse him again Posted Image in a new Origin's playthrough I was looking for something along the lines of the color.  For some odd reason it seems to blend well with him lmao.
