Hey, I saw the painting of your Aeducan in the Zev thread and laughed -- that's pretty much what my Brosca is going to look like for Zev!!!

None of my Alistair kisses line up and my dwarf still has her face pressed up against the window while watching the parade pass her by so she decided to take matters into her own hand and buy herself some pink panties. =D Gave Alistair hairy chest, too. Also changed Alistair's underwear to a more appropriate loincloth for when I'm not using the nude mod. I have disciplined myself to remember to take the nude mod out when I'm not using it! Seeing a messed up templar with a boner in the prison area is ...

Yeah, that part is annoying. I think you lose more points overall when he's not in your group while you do the Fade stuff.

Heh, yeah, not a fan of either the random woodies or the random elephant trunks.  Men would probably think that's weird, since I imagine there's not a naked boobie they don't like, but it's just not the same by my lights.

So what mod will allow Alistair to have a hairy chest and no deerskin thong?

I don't have a screenshot, but someone made a photoshop of Alistair with Morrigan's purple eyeshadow to show what the god baby might look like.  At some point I said it reminded me of Duran Duran, and now I can't get the image out of my head that the god baby is going to show up with a bunch of androgynous backup singers in big hair and lots of makeup.  You have to admit, even if he shows up to wreak havoc on civilization, that would be pretty cool.

I don't think the Alistair romance is much better.  If he's king, most PCs will get dumped, with an option to be a mistress.  The HNFs are the only ones that can have a "legitimate" relationship post AD.  If he's not king, you can have the happily ever after....but at what cost.  No matter the options, the only reason neither of you are dead is because the lov of you life slept with another woman and his demon spawn is running around somewhere.  I wouldn't exaclty call that a happy ending.

The mistress thing drives me nuts. He isn't married, you aren't "the other woman" Your pc is the woman he loves and he happens to be king. The demon spawn, well sacrifices must be made sometimes. I'll not be number one priority in my own husband's life for the next 14 years, it doesn't make me any less happy. It's a sacrifice we both willingly made to have a better life.  Of course, I also don't believe the child is a demon.

Well, not yet, but since half the reason he breaks up with you and the only reason he breaks up with a HN is the heir issue you know he's going to get married at some point and try for kids. Then the relationship either ends or you are the other woman.

My problem with it is that, even hardened, Alistair thinks it's wrong, and unhardened, he won't even consider it. Convincing him to go against his ethics to save his life is one thing, this is something else entirely, to me. You're actually convincing him to be less honorable than his instincts tell him to be.

Two words: game mechanics.
Really, some things don't make sense and I willingly handwave them. Like the almost-break-up. It's merely an opportunity to give the player a choice in that matter.

thats weird...the only one I lose disapproval with is Morrigan (1 point) for sending her in.  I usually have Alistair in the castle, mabye leaving him behind makes it worse?  He doesn't light into me till we get back to camp.
Its usually PC, Zev and AListair for that part of the story. Wynne loses a whopping 10 points too for the Blood magic.

That mod is designed to work with Natural Bodies. You want "Theseus Body" for the hairy chest. There is also a mod called "Theseus Underwear" so you can have hairy Alistair with underwear on, too. Just need to have it in a different folder for swapping in and out of override folder depending on if you want naked time or modesty time.

There are some things that I see as clear game mechanics--ie. hardened Alistair not making himself king automatically, so as to allow for a marriage, with that irritating recycling of unhardened dialogue, but not this. It revolves around Alistair taking a moral stand that you have to undo to continue the relationship.
