Morrigan lacks the will to care about
most things enough to excite herself over them. Her primary concern is
her survival. She has a difficult time relating to other people, and
feels extremely vulnerable outside of the marsh. Her sense of humor is
dark and twisted, and she finds the most morbid things amusing.
Her
primary goal is to gain skills and knowledge and become a powerful
sorceress in her own right. She believes that having a child with the
PC's blood will give her access to this power.
Sorry guys, just catching up here but this quote from the toolset, is a bit funny no? If Morrie ends up with Alistair's child, then what gives? She spends the whole game saying how stupid he is and then has his baby to access the power that will make her into a powerful sorceress? Ironic...
Don't have a link handy and am paraphrasing so don't quote me, but David Gaider basically said that it wasn't known at that point that the PC and Alistair would be the last TWO wardens. The forces from Orlais were still expected to arrive and Morrigan just needed any GW's taint. It wasn't until the archdemon forced their hand that it was obvious that the orlesians weren't going to make it in time and Morrigan had to deal with the realization that Alistair was her last hope (if fem PC), something that did not make her happy at the time.
