I saw a screenshot of this posted in the forum before. Never would have believed it myself otherwise. xD I'll be sure to hold off that particular dialogue until I have high enough cunning the next time I pursue an Alistair romance. >:3cmessaz wrote...
Going through the toolset can really give a good idea as to what leads to what with Alistair. He has quite a few cute lines that I had never heard, because I didn't feel right saying a particular thing. It is really cute when you say that his mother must have been a b**ch because his laugh is just awsome.

That said, am I the only one who pairs up certain characters exclusively to certain origin stories? Like how I pair up my HNF with Alistair and my CEF to Zevran. I dunno, having my other characters go for the same person makes me feel like a dirty cheater and it makes me sick to my stomach. Silly, I know. >.<;

Not yet, still waiting on a definate answer for what people think I should do, then I will get to work.klarabella wrote...
cmessaz, I know, you've probably a ton of work to do but here is a bug in Alistair's dialogue, you may want to have a look at later. It's the dialogue when you talk to Goldanna after the Landsmeet and he's not King.
I thought Lady Olivia's patch fixed this! If not I will take a look. But when I go editing alistair_main, it will start conflicting with other people's mods. I will see what I can do, however.

That is how I generally do it. I have gone on a sex quest to be honest. Did Leliana, Zevran, and then Alistair. Just for fun.nranola wrote...

Oh, you're not alone in that venture. xD I'd go for a Morrigan and Leliana playthrough if I had a male face I actually liked. Alas...cmessaz wrote...

Heh, since I play rogues almost always, I have heard that one. He seems to like it when you out-do him in the irreverent humor department. At least if it's not in a mocking way, especially mocking his manhood.cmessaz wrote...

Which do you want? I just sort of said the same thing to him every time, so a lot of what I missed was my own doing. Some things don't fire correctly. I could compile a list of what I missed, but that would be very long.Addai67 wrote...

Why am I too stupid for the toolset? I got it to work but I never find anything remotely interesting. I can't even preview anything. It's just a big scary thing full of stuff that keeps confusing me.

Or you could make it Arl Eamon's suggestion that Anora be excuted -- and then carried out. That way, you don't have to bother doing one for hardened/unhardened Alistair.
Another option here is I could create many different slides that could be dropped into your folder based on the ending you want for Anora, but that seems silly.
Way off topic here, but those who have "more hairstyles, do you have this style? Cuz I don't and want it. It is supposed to be in more hairstyles apparantly.
I don't recall seeing it and I have a majority of the creation mods. It's really pretty though, I wish I had that one.

Naw, it's alright. Once I figure out how to work the toolset I'll be all set, really. As partial as I am to Character Creator, I just find it impossible to model a male face without it looking awkward or too generic.cmessaz wrote...

Oh, since you seem to be intimate with how the toolset works, is there any way to import a face that you created via Character Creator and edit it? Doesn't necessarily have to override the existing thing; I just want to be able to tweak something I've already created and save it for later.

I do know what you mean- I don't think I can play an HNF with Zevran or a CEF with Alistair.nranola wrote...

With Zevran I like pairing him with elven PCs best. His tent scene is the most tender with them, for one thing, and I like the sense of compatibility.
With Alistair, it's different, though. I almost feel like my Dalish character is more compatible with him than my HNF (one reason I was nostalgic enough about her game to re-play her). Alistair grew up in noble circles, but as a commoner and rather beaten down by nobles. DEF is the daughter of a keeper (Arlathan noble stock) who grew up living rough, and Alistair is the son of a king who grew up sleeping in stables. Plus as I said upthread, there's a kind of Romeo and Juliet quality I like about that pairing. But I could also see a Dalish character going well with Zevran, and a mage or dwarf could also easily go either way.

While I see your point, Loghain did leave the wardens to die. We should make him one of us?Astranagant wrote...
I stopped respecting Alistair when I tried going Riordan's route and discovered that Alistair had no sense of responibility or duty to the Grey Wardens, his only concern was his personal relationship with Duncan, which is practically spitting on Duncan's memory since Duncan was dedicated to stopping the Blight above all else. Alistair doesn't have any problem dropping everything and deserting because he doesn't like the ideas of a ranking member of the organization he's sworn allegience to.

If there is a way to load a pre-created character into the toolset, I don't know it. That would be nice, however. You can take a generic model, tweak it like you want, and replace the existing pc in a save game.nranola wrote...

I just looked at it and it's a reasonably easy fix (though I can't test it). It would not be compatible with ADP or anything though. I'm going to put it in, though.

You are my hero yet again! I don't use ADP anymore, just yours and my epiloque and redcliffe fixes. We need to get that darn cutscene and then we are good to go. Will you let us know when you update?ejoslin wrote...

The goal of the Wardens is to battle the Darkspawn and the Blight. Whatever Loghain's crimes, they're not the issue for the Wardens to be concerned with. Having Loghain undergo the joining is the best political solution as it promotes unity among Ferelden's lords and army.
And this is coming from someone who can't stand the guy and thinks it's laughable that he's supposed to be some kind of uber-strategist but Gaider's said here on the forum that much of the chaos that seems to be part of his plans (Arl Howe, the Darkspawn in the Tower of Ishal, etc.) is really just chance and coincidence.
But this is all a distraction from the fact that Allistair is perfectly willing and able to go back on the oath he made to the Wardens and to Duncan because a superior officer's decision rubs him the wrong way. In some armies, that's desertion, in others, it's treason.

FINALLY a gorgeous elf hairdo that shows off their ears. Just downloaded this and added it to my game.
A thank you again to Cmessaz for all her help the past couple days getting my game upgraded. I have added some really nice mods (I really like the nobler noble one for the atmosphere) and hairs and all kinds of new things. Thank you SO MUCH Cmessaz! You are my internet heroine!
