*sigh* And I'm chained to my desk, more bored than usual.  Although sometimes bored is good in my job.

I've actually had work to do, after a week of relative leisure (well, office leisure). Boo!

That's no fun!  I really need a vay-cay, but our office has downsized so much that I'm simultaneously a) irreplaceable, B) deemed incompetent for not picking up the slack well enough, and c) not about to get a raise since we all know the axe could have fallen elsewhere.  It's a winsome combination.

I'm not a Jowan fan either. But, he'll save me a trip to the tower, and the origin is much better when you're siding with him than ratting him out. I find it fitting that Duncan is more impressed that route too. He's pretty non chalant if you take Irvings side, kinda like "well I need mages...ok"

Haha, actually the sad part is that guy's "muscle" is all synthol injections... meaning they're not even really functional.  Just giant balloons of scar tissue.  Sexy eh!?

As for the Isolde hate... well you ladies just can't see her appeal.  She's definitely got the hawt mature woman vibe going on.   I'd love to see her with her hair down... when she's not frowning... and talking about her son.  If only there was a way to get rid of Eamon!

She's honestly suppose to look older than she does.  Both her and Conner's ages don't match up with Gaider's time line from TST/TC.  Eamon and Isolde were married shortly after the war ended.  Cailan was born shortly after the war ended.  Thus Eamon and Isolde would of been already married for 25 yrs by the time Ostagar happened.  There's no way using Gaider's time line from the book that Alistair could of ever lived w/ Eamon w/o Isolde being there.

Eamon and Isolde fell in love w/ each other at the end of the war w/ Orlais.  So, either she's portrayed improperly in the game or he started dallying w/ her when she was like 12 yrs old.

Hmm, that may be a result of them changing around Alistair's age at the last minute.  If he was older than Cailan (toolset says he was supposed to be 32 right?) like originally planned it wouldn't really be a contradiction.

Or maybe Isolde just uses really good anti-wrinkle cream and hair dye.  If so she should really share with her husband because, good lord...

Axekix, the only reason you like Isolde is because she's a hot MILF. At least I hope so, because if not, I would be worried. Because she's probably one of the worst "good people" of the game.

No, I can understand MILF love. Trust me. But the thought that she has any good qualities besides her looks is ridiculous. She's cowardly, stupid and selfish.

Besides her, Axekix seems to have good taste. I mean, he likes Morrigan, so he must...right?

Yeah that's pretty much it.  Does that sound shallow?

Yes, because Morrigan is only selfish. And just a little stupid at times

Would you rather be shallow or stupid? I'm glad you're just shallow instead of ignoring the fact that she is a bad person.

Yes, but if she killed someone, it would be because she wanted to. Not because she is stupid.

My favorite thing to say is...

"That's a rather impertinent accusation."

"Not if it's true."

I clap in glee every time that comes up.

Well, at least you know she's loyal to her family... that's something! :wizard:

Isolde enabled someone to kill people, she didn't kill them personally. She then didn't have the balls or the know-how to kill an abomination by herself.

Morrigan gets put on a pedestal by many people. She isn't perfect. Oh yes, the blasphemy.

And when did murderous intent become an admirable trait?

Edit: Disclaimer, I do not love Isolde.

I released Jowan this time through, and the yell......made my mission to sacrifice her a lot easier.

Cowardly and selfish people don't sacrifice themselves to save someone else. Truly cowardly and selfish Isolde would have long ago gotten the posessed kid killed, the poisoned husband dumped in the lake (with all honours of course) and officially hooked up with Teagan. Instead she's trying actively to protect and save these important to her.

Think the only complaint i could make about her is, she doesn't care about the fate of peasants. But that's pretty much par for the course in that setting.

I was just kidding about Morrigan, but I like her because she isn't perfect. She stands up for herself, but she allows hatred to sway her too easily.

Isolde is just stupid. Not only does she allow a apostate into her home (which she didn't know, I'll give her that) but when her husband got sick, she didn't even consider that he was poisoned? Especially when the healers can't heal him? And instead of keeping some of her knights to protect her and the castle, she sends them all off to search for a magical relic. She is an arlessa, with quite a bit of money. She couldn't hire scholars?

And not only that, she is unconcerned when she's sees the destruction she's wrought. Morrigan is misguided by years of abuse and having Flemeth as her mother. Isolde is just stupid.

Isolde DID know that Jowan was an apostate, just not that he was an assassin.

Didn't she try to find Genitivi? He is a scholarly as they come. And bann Awesome (as he is known here) does the exact same thing, once there is no trouble. Ergo, the same thing as Isolde.
