Once you find out what Zathrian did, you could see his clan as too great a threat to the surrounding human populace to let it pass.  They are spreading werewolf sickness just like the Blight is spreading Blight sickness.  It's sort of hard to justify slaughtering the whole camp for Zathrian's malice, though.

Not really.  Just ask yourself "what would Alistair do?"

Posted Image

Alistair would like to point out that he was under great duress when he decided to side with the werewolves.

Yeah, but the Warden doesn't care about that. Miss "I will not lose my son to magic" should care.

It still seems a bit wrong to blame the victim here.  Yeah it wasn't the smartest move, but Jowan is still the one who took advantage of her desperation.  Her intentions were good natured, things just blew up in her face... badly.

Actually Loghain took advantage of Jowan AND Isolde's desperation. Jowan was dsperate to set things right and return to the circle, Loghain promised him this in return for poisoning the Arl. Isolde was desperate to keep her son FROM the circle, and Loghain was desperate for power.

Yeah, she doesn't want to send her son away only to see him at sporadic occasions. Her son having magic is pretty devastating.

No I see it as she thinks it is evil to have magic. Her son being taken is not the only problem, at least thats what I understand.

That is the general stance to magic in the known world (exception being Tevinter).

She'll tell you that she doesn't want to face Eamon with their son being dead. (..)

Why would she dump her husband in the lake? If they knew he was dead, rather than just comatose, she would have to go back to Orlais.

That's why. If she truly didn't want to face Eamon, she wouldn't have to. A much easier solution for a selfish person than giving up their own life. And her having to go back to Orlais with husband dead seems rather nonsensical. It was pretty normal for a widow to keep ruling her lands alone after husband's death back then, and actually one real way for a woman to become independent. Quite ideal for the supposed selfish coward.

And she didn't have to sacrifice herself, I'm sure there are plenty of guards who would have given their life for their arldom. I'm sure Ser Perth would have at the very least.

This really doesn't make a good point of her being selfish coward then, does it? I mean a selfish coward would rather tell someone else to give their life instead.

There is nothing to convince me that she is not a selfish, stupid bimbo

That much is clear, but i think it's rather the case of finding excuses for a gut-based dislike than the other way around. Posted Image

I need to find the courage to side with the werewolves. Someone provide me with a good RP reason!

Dalish are jerks?

I could not think of one...  except for the achievement?  but, I would then delete the whole thing and save the Dalish instead.  this way you "save" the werewolves as well..

Indeed, and it's not as if she abandoned her son to his fate.  The fact that she went through everything she did proves just how much she loved him.

Really though you don't think Jowan is blameless do you?

Exactly.  Loghain is the bad guy.  Isolde is stupid and selfish, but she is also a product of her upbringing and of the world she lives in, i.e. spoiled noble, devout Andrastian etc.

Well, it was either doing what Loghain, the national hero said or dying.

He is gullible though.

But isn't the very point you're making that the stupidity is in the very act of not caring when one should? Why is  the Warden not caring about their safety getting a free pass when they're being just as reckless and with even less reason for that than Isolde had?

Yeah, his options weren't exactly great, but he still chose to assasinate an Arl to save his own skin.  Everything Isolde did was to save her family.

The exciting level?  As opposed to the usual pictures of Alistair/kitties + "awwwww" posts?  Riveting.

True, it is a welcome exchange.

And I'm kind of bored with the Morrigan + "awwww" posts too.

Edit: picture + "awwww" posts in general to be honest.

Because he/she is a Warden and because they accept any help that they can get. Isolde is a hypocrit who doesn't want to send her son to the Mage's Circle because she is a devout Andrastian, but doesn't mind allowing an apostate to teach her son. And most non-magic people associate apostate with maleficarum, which the Maker is against. So maybe she isn't stupid, but she is a hypocrit. So that's just another bad point.
