I know, right? I have enough characters not out of Lothering yet. I don't need more!

Psssh, Lothering.  *looks at all the ones still in Ostagar and sighs*

I have a gaggle of HNFs and HMFs, I should really branch out more. My first character ever was a female elf mage, but her file got messed up :crying:

Making a Dalish right now though, I've recently fallen in love with being an archer (my last completed HNF was one, it is pretty sweet).

You know, I found the Dalish a bit disappointing. The part when Tamlin comes to camp is a tearjerker and awsome, but as a whole it was just not that great to me.
Yukidama: Me too! My dalish playthrough (that I lost, sadly) I was a master archer, and it was fun as heck. Darnit I think I need to restart my human noble again. Or I could be a city elf archer.

I have to say though, one of my favorite origins is CE. It's very dramatic, makes me wonder why I've never played one past Ostagar...

I think my favorite bit about being an archer is looking at the enemies I've shot full of arrows like a pincushion. I love when they end up with arrows in their faces. I shot Loghain in the butt once too, I felt really accomplished.

Two of mine are stuck just before the Sacred Urn quest. You'd think I'd be more motivated, the Gauntlet not being too far off and all. The Gauntlet makes me tear up. Every. Time. ;3;

@cmessaz- The nose, probably. It makes me think of Soris LMAO! x'DD But looking back at it now I find that it's more bearable; I guess it just needed more time to grow on me than the others.

And the anti-aliasing slider makes the graphics smoother, or so I understand. Makes your game run slower though so unless your computer is really geared for gaming, I wouldn't recommend turning it up too high. xD

I was lost before the toolset. Many times I would play for a while and realize I hate the way my character looks, and I would restart. Now, I just go into the toolset, open my morph, and change it!
I also like the city elf, but I don't know, I guess I just have an easier time identifying with my humans. I don't know why.
My sister asked me why I don't draw fan art, since I like it so much. I don't think people would be amused by stick figures, which is the limit to my creativity and drawing skills.

The CE origin is on tie with HN for me, both very tragic. I felt very accomplished with my City Elf; the story spreads out so well in it. Returning to the Alienage doesn't come until much later in the game, you get a glimpse of the Dalish somewhere in between in addition to the Gauntlet, and the high point in Zevran's romance (I paired her up with him) chimes in towards the end as well.

I absolutely LOVE playing an archer! I was surprised how much damage Arrow of Slaying packed (got the 250 damage achievement from it), Scattershot saved my hide countless times, and you kick so much ass in Awakening.

I always was frustrated with this achievement. But then I discovered the arrow of slaying! I was like, oh thats how you do it. Only thing that sucks about archery: no death blows.

Yup, I only got that achievement with Arrow of Slaying too. I think the highest I hit was like 1000+, it was just ridiculous(ly awesome).

I haven't done a playthrough with a Zevran relationship (did get one of my characters to sleep with him, he broke up with her because of Alistair), but I'm definitely giving it a try with a CE character. He may not be my favorite but I do want to give it a go. Probably change my perception of his character, idk.

I find the Dalish extremely disappointing. I find the origin boring, none of the secondary characters interest me (so I don't care about leaving them) and city elves get a more compelling homecoming.  I also intensely dislike Tamlen (Soris would never get himself sucked into a magic mirror of dubious origin), so not even that scene could compel me to finish a game with a DE.

I do like the Dalish in theory, but not implementation. I guess I'm a bit like Zevran in that regard.

Make sure to have the Zevran fix mod, or you may be disappointed.

Ha I know the feeling about the massive armors being too bulky. The only massive armors I use on my PC are the Warden armors. I just toss the massive arcane warrior stuff on Anders if I'm using it at the time lol. There's a modder on nexus that is working on a stock armor replacer, imo it looks really good so far with the heavy and massive armors.

Heavy:

Massive:
http://dragonagenexu...-1270528356.jpg

He's also doing light armor and "maybe" robes but I don't think there are any previews up yet.

*shudders*  To me, that looks so awful.  :/  But hey, *I* don't have to get the mod, so it's all good.  ^_^

Hmm... Yeah, I have to agree with Lady on this one. :/ I'm fine with how the armor on DA looks as it is though they could really use some more variety. I guess this is a mod for those who want to flaunt their curves no matter what they're wearing. xD

Oh, and I've read the first few chapters of Second Chance after getting some sleep in last night earlier today. Nice work, I have to say. o3o

I mean, it's a mod, so if it floats your boat, go for it.  I just don't understand.  The practical part of my brain can't let go how bad of an idea it is.  XD

Good morning ladies :)

I like the first armor.  For me it's not really about flaunting the curves, it's more like the distinction between male and female armor.  That's why I don't really care for heavy or massive armor.  In fact I never wear it because it's so bulky and unshapely.  Heck in all the game's I've played I always ended up wearing 1 armor set and it's Wade's medium drakonskin armor or the drakeskin armor until I found that blue set my last two playthroughs.  I know it doesn't matter because I'm covered in blood and gore most of the time but I still like to wear something that distinguishes me from a male lol.  Hair and make-up only go so far and usually my make-up's pretty light.
What's funny is I actually found some massive armour last night that I love but if you saw it you'd probably call me a hiprocrit because it is really sexy.  (And omg I just realized I'm sounding like a prissy girly girl, Posted Imageand that I'm not lmao)  Ends topic.

Thats exactly it, I didn't feel it was very well written. Why is there no Mage/Dalish origin? That would have been cool. And DON"T touch mysteriously clean mirrors in dark caves after fighting those freaky bear things and walking corpses, get the HE** ou t of dodge!

There is a Dalish mage mod, BTW, it works, but doesn't have any different story line, and is a bit off when you go to the mages tower.

Lol yeah, when I go through his romance I definitely plan on having the fix installed. There's not even a question about that. I dunno when the City Elf will get done though, there are other things I wanna do first.

I think Dalish would be more interesting if you came from the Dalish group you meet in the game :/

This is the part where I confess that the first time I saw the sex cutscene I was convinced that there was something slightly less...wholesome happening in that shot. Heh, well he could very well be about to wake her up with a "wanna go again?"

That is what I thought, yukidama.
And for those who care: The mord sith armor is now stand alone, so it will not override all the light armor in your game! YAY

Or you could make it Arl Eamon's suggestion that Anora be excuted -- and then carried out. That way, you don't have to bother doing one for hardened/unhardened Alistair.

I could do that as well. I am going with what everyone decides.

Another option here is I could create many different slides that could be dropped into your folder based on the ending you want for Anora, but that seems silly.

Way off topic here, but those who have "more hairstyles, do you have this style? Cuz I don't and want it. It is supposed to be in more hairstyles apparantly.

That's pretty, I like that.  I don't know if it's in any of my hairstyles.  I really don't pay much attention until 1 jumps out and bytes me lol.

I agree. The DE origin was... surprisingly bland. It didn't leave that strong an impression on me. That's probably why I left her at Ostagar.

THIS. Seriously, when I started my DEF I was half-expecting to be in Zathrian's clan, but eh... shouldn't have kept my hopes up. xD I wish this was how it went though. Would have definitely made the Nature of the Beast quest so much more interesting. Choosing between the werewolves and your clan? Just imagine how much tension there would be if you tried to settle the dispute!

Yeah, the Dalish origin seems to be the one least connected out of all. I don't really see why it was chosen over the human commoner origin if you weren't going encounter your original clan. Everyone else has a more direct connection to the plot than the Dalish origin. I agree, I like it in theory but the implementation was very lacking.

I am thinking of turning my Dalish into a mage. I want to play as a mage again but I don't want to deal with the mage origin again.

I was going to, but it breaks immersion when you go to the tower and everyone recognises you.

By the way, that elf preset I posted earlier looks GREAT in game.
