one of the things I like best in the tent scene with Morri it shows the PC holding her face in his hands. That just seems the most gentle, sweetest gesture to me.

LOL she is gorgeous!  I likes da swamp witch.  Is this in the Temple of Andraste?  At the point you are discussing the disposition of the ashes.

I think so yes.
That's one part where her badasseness (against the Guardian) and sarcasm (the ashes) shine lol

Beautiful.

Yes, this is the same bit where Alistair snarks about hoping there are enough ashes to go around, the shot of him that everyone loves.

She looks really good here too.  I think the lighting does wonderful things to pics in the temple.

That's why I believe a succesful ruler actually has to like ruling. People like Bhelen and Anora, who won't be as emotionally burdened by this as Maric or Alistair. Taht does not mean to say that they are superior, in fact you can argue the contrary and it would be valid.
It's just that they are better ruler, because they like it. alternatively, that can potentially also make them dangerous, yes I am aware.

Actually, I've almost always been under the impression that the best leaders are the reluctant ones, precisely because they're not in it for themselves.  They seem more likely, to me, to take into account the needs of all, rather than their own personal goals and desires.

King Alistair is more proactive in his aid of the city elves, for instance, than is Queen Anora, by appointing an elf to his counsel.  Anora simply lets things go on as they were and then has to stop riots when food becomes scarce.  Anora is willing to steam-roll the Wardens at the Landsmeet to become Queen, whereas Alistair is willing to sacrifice his own happiness and take the throne in order to do what's best for everyone and end the Blight.

Anora and her father seem less likely to me to make personal sacrifices for the good of the kingdom - Anora refuses to marry again even for the sake of producing an heir, which we know will likely lead to civil war.  Alistair ends the relationship with the love of his life in order to do his best to ensure that an heir is produced and thus the stability of the kingdom ensured.

Agree with you here, also reluctant leaders tend to be more aware that they may be unprepared and work harder at it .

Ohh, I don't remember this.  There's a shot like that in Zevran's elf scene and another in his dwarf scene, I believe.

I was so mad that Alistair only got one tent scene version, prior to discovering tmp's awesomeness.

He also name miss not-an-option his heir and then goes off to kill himself because he couldn't BEAR to live without his ex-LI which is hardly for the best of the Kingdom.

This. Though it was my second canon character, Aurora and Alistair was hardened so that Aurora wouldn't have to force him on the throne and to keep him loyal to her. She was very manipulative.

Definitely in the dwarf scene.

I loved it so much, it was after Alistair broke up with her, and she'd just seen Gorim again. it really felt like "Let me show you how a woman DESERVES to be loved my gray warden"

Yeh, in both Dwarf female and Elf (male and female) with Zevran, he cradles the warden's face. Also, he has a couple of dwarf kisses where he holds their face.

Edit: Was tossing the apostrophes around again.

Well it doesn't say that he went to kill himself. And I've only gotten that when he is not king, is this a bug?

My daughter gave me a sketch pad today, because I said I wanted to learn to draw, and that scene up there, with Aidan is what I'd like to do. Apparently my kid (a teenager no less) has more faith in me than I do.

Edit:  The little icon isn't showing up, is what I mean to say.  Don't know if that's justa  display bug and the bonuses are appearing.

Ugh. 88 in my room.  My computer is very unhappy.

Are you in the camp by chance? Not sure but think the game only takes these into account when you're out and adventuring about ... or at least it works like that for me sometimes Posted Image

Posted Image I think naming Anora the heir if he falls is a smart thing, I don't like her, but who else would rule? As far as Alistair killing himself for his love, he is acting on impulse I am sure at that point and not thinking clearly, I can't really blame him.

He only takes the blow if you're in a romance with him - if you're a male warden he lets you do it. And sacrificing himself for the good of Ferelden - well - that's a good thing! A noble deed. YES it would be better if he stayed and was king but if it's a choice between him dying and everyone else dying he takes the former, and I think that's not so much a "kill yourself and hell to the rest of you" kind of decision!

You can have a really strange conversation with Eamon when you are talking to him at Redcliffe after you've made Alistair king. You can ask him if he's okay with Alistair going into battle. Eamon says something about that there are only three GW left and he doubts he could stop him. He also says that he is not sure if Alistair is doing this on purpose to escape the throne - by seeking death.

If Morrigan didn't exist, I would go for her.
