I take solace in the fact that I am smarter than her, and that I am the "cool" teacher b/c I play video games and watch anime.  ^_^

Are you a teacher Lady D? Me too. Last day of school I'd get together with my cool students at lunch and watch Final Fantasy Advent Children...

Elementary, so they're a bit young for that.

what about My Neighbor Totoro or Kiki's delivery Service?

I do not ever want to see Totoro again in my life.  My sister wore the tape out when she was little.  XD

Nah, it's cool.  We shoot the **** and stuff.  They don't need a movie.

Seri:  I like kids, but not all kids.  There are some that make my hands shake from wanting to strangle them.  And after my first cold of the year, my immune system is usually good to go.

Saying I hate kids would be an understatment.  I can't stand them.  I'll actually leave a restaurant if there isn't tables open far away from any kids.  It's not like a frequent "family" restaurants either.  I swear a place can be 95% a bar and some jackass will still bring his/her spawn w/ them.

Because we are speaking of kids you want to strangle (that sounds really bad, doesn't it?), my son will be picked up by his grandparents in less then an hour and go on vacation for a full week!

No Bob the Builder, no Caillou, no Pettersson and Findus (ok, this one I like actually), no Kai-lan, Dora, Diego or whatever he loves to torment me with. Silence is bliss!

I think kids are like adults - some are absolutely appalling and others are lovely.

Mine are, of course, the latter. :)

My biggest problem is that a lot of parents develop selective hearing.  The child will be screaming at the top of it's lungs and the parent will stand there and ignore it instead of killing it doing something about it.

My first born was a good child.  My second...I swear my husband must have suddenly been possessed when we spawned her because she was a demon child.Posted Image

I don't despise all kids, just most of them. I don't want 'em either unless I can guarantee that I'll have a kid like one of the few I can stand :P

Get a dog they're more loyal and don't scream.

True, it's one of the survival techniques for parents. ^_^

I find children's laughterto be just as  or even more annoying than the crying. I am weird like that.

I prefer cats, but I'd definitely rather a pet than a child. I don't intend to adopt and considering the act it takes to get pregnant kids are veeeeery unlikely.

I like cats, you don't even have to take them for a walk and you can leave a bowl of food overnight and not worry about them finishing it off in 5 minutes!

Hitting them works too.

If I had pulled half the crap I see kids get away with I would be dead now.  My mother probably would of poisoned me or something equally devious.

I have to say, 99.9% of the hideous children out there are hideous because of their parents. I find it difficult to blame the kid, even when it is being a total *rse.

I don't not like children (and I love my nieces/nephews), but I've found the older I get the less tolerance I have. I can't really imagine having children now. I think my parents had the right idea, have kids in your 20's when you're not so set in your ways. Big bonus: by the time you're 45 they're out of the house!

She's wearing the Ivory Tower, Mage AW armor. can get off of DANexus.  Its the set she's wearing I linked many pages back when I had a weird Alistair/Neria dual kill of an ogre.  comes with helm, boots, glovves, shield and sword/dagger combo.  All geared with mage in mind (Arcane Warrior spec required).

If you have this on file, the Winterforge can turn mage robes into Ivory tower looking for anyone (so Wynne has a set of her mage robes with stats but Medium Armor Armor class)

My kids are all grown up n in the military which I'm sad but happy about lol. But I still babysitt a 2 1/2 year old every now n then n she's absolutely adorable. There's only a few times that I want to pull my hair out n that's that high pitched scream that they seem to develope at that age lol. I love kids but not as much as I use to now that mine aren't home anymore, funny how that happens lol.

Well, killing the whole family and not just the spawn is fine with me.  This would insure that they don't reproduce again.

Oh ok, I've actually got that mod, both actually but I've just never put the outfit on anyone yet lol.  Was looking to try n change it with the Winterforge but since I got the latest release I haven't had the patience to figure it out lol.

Yea just try hitting them in public...Child services would be called and you would be arrested practically before you could say Jack Rabbit.  Parents are hog tied nowadays and things that would have gotten the belt on my ass when i was a kid kids get away with nowadays.  Besides I have found depriving them of things (TV, Video games, Comics whatever they enjoy) goes a LOT further than hitting someone.
Great lesson to teach your kids, spank them because they hit brother or sister or random child on playground...Posted Image

*sporfle* I can't tell you how many times I've sat at Parent/Teacher evenings and turned to a colleague and said "So THAT'S why."

Honestly, most parents are worse than kids. That's the whole point, I think. Aren't we trying to improve the species or something?

BTW, research shows that hitting them makes it worse, actually. Most of the real screamers I know get wolloped on a daily basis.

Edited because there's not enough Alistair in this page. Nekkid Alistair:

Although I did just read a news story where a 18 yr old girl called the police because her grandmother (who was watching her) slapped her for cussing back at her. The police took the grandmother to jail !! A little extreme.

editted: not really babysitting, since the girl was 18.

My mother used a switch and the last thing in the world I would of ever thought about doing was screaming in retaliation.  Apparently those parents aren't proficient in beating their children correctly.  I should send my hag of a mother by to teach them properly.

Child services must be vastly different in other states than it is in RI.  My best mate's Da works for DCYF and more often than not the children get returned to the parents because state care is worse.  If the child does end up in state care group homes they end up abused and/or raped.
