Serissia- you are way too funny!
I found my new CE's name:
Adrasteia
Feminine form of Greek Adrastos, meaning "he who stands his ground," in other words "courageous."
Oddly enough, I never give my PCs names that mean anything. I always just take names I like, which frequently means stealing names from D&D characters..
I did for my current PC. Idun is the Norse goddess of spring. Usually I just pick shortish names that sound pleasing enough. Sometimes I use Middle Eastern names, like Esra for my last PC. My HNF was Eren, which is a name I've used for other games. My blood mage was Sula, which did not sound great when she was Sula Surana, but sounded much better when I started thinking of her as Sula Arainai.
Not that medievals had the same naming conventions anyway, but it's sad to think none of my Ali-elves will ever be ___ Theirin. OMG, I just realized that Eren Theirin sounds so dorky. LOL I imagine she will remain Eren Cousland, consort to Alistair Theirin. That works.
I think the naming conventions we know are pretty intact, as in one spouse taking the name of the other in most cases. I think the difference here is the more "powerful" partner keeps their last name. For instance, if your F!PC took Gwaren and got married to someone, your PC would most likely take their last name, especially if you are a Cousland.
Bree is definitely gonna end up as Bree'enna Arainai, though.

Edit: Lots of vowels in that name. XD And I like the ring of Lya Theirin.
