It's not a bvirus. It's DA trying to access the internet to load updates and such. Your virus protection gets paranoid about anything trying to access the net, and thinks it's a virus. I think you can configure it to allow.

No, I don't think its that.  I really got a virus from it, about a month ago and had to wipe out my computer.  I've stayed away from it since then, but every once in a while I try to go back.  Now since the virus protection update, I keep getting the "unexpected error, need to shut down" message.

When that happens, it's not usually the site itself spreading it. DA has ads if you aren't a paid user, and usually that's fine, you don't run into big problems. But occasionally, the ad severs get hit with malware, and it gets sent out through the ads on various websites. I've been on DA for 5 years total and never had a problem, but I never see ads, either because I pay for my acct, or because I run firefox with the noscript addon. It's very rare to get any kind of virus from images (jpg, gif, whatever).

These things can strike from any web page that uses ads, best solution, firefox+noscript and adblock, so you don't have to avoid alot of websites that could contain treats, because of ads, that you'd otherwise enjoy.

Somehow I think that Loghain would find the idea of random Couslands, elves and dwarves raping him is , too.

He did say my city elf was pretty.  Of course, fresh from Vaugh's hospitality, it only increased his chances of getting a dagger in the ear.
