I'm dead stuck on the subject, folks. There is no arguing lol. To each their own, right? I sort of don't mind the sad heart-broken ending, go through life wondering what might have been and die miserable and alone, pining for my one true love.

I always marry my HNF to Alistair. I know in theory that it would be better for Ferelden to stay his mistress but c'est la vie. I don't think I could make myself go through the Dark Ritual either if I wasn't going to marry him. I'm not one of the people that thinks that Alistair secretly had a thing for Morrigan. I always thought Alistair seems very disgusted with the whole situation, especially so if he's told the whole truth... After all that they've been through together it only seems fitting that they're allowed a little bit of happiness.



The only Landsmeet outcome that is particularly good for Ferelden is Alistair solo ruling anyhow.

I don't really see how the HNF and Alistair ruling jointly is bad for Ferelden. Sure, they may not be able to provide an heir by the usual means but it's not impossible to appoint an heir at a later date, especially with support of a Landsmeet. The Theirin line continuing is never really a big deal to anyone except when it comes to actually getting Alistair on the throne or for making excuses, since it is an accepted choice to not make Alistair king at all. Otherwise it seems that your PC and Alistair are fairly capable and can do real good for the country. It's not like they attained the throne through usual means either xD

I agree.  I think PC + hardened Alistair is probably the best outcome...unless your pc is a twit somehow.  XD

To be honest it seems to be set up so that no matter what your choices there won't an heir produced by the normal means. Some outcomes have more of a possibility than others but it doesn't seem to be happening. What this means for the future and sequels... who knows?

I think HNF and Alistair ruling together is the BEST for Ferelden. You have have a Cousland and a Theirin, married. That makes the best paring in my opinion. Anorna never had a child (and never will if you make her Queen). She has no business being Queen regnant anyway if there is Alistair and if not him them Fergus should be next in line to the Throne, not Anora (%itch).

This route can only end in tears and heartbreak. Look at the hoops you have to jump through to just survive together. If BW gave Queen Cousland a wee Bryce Duncan Theirin, either she or Alistair would end up assassinated or exiled or maimed or frozen in carbonite. 

Not to mention- very unfair to non-HNs.

I agree with ya. It's not like Alistair and the PC MUST have a child. An heir can be named from elsewhere. Possibly Fergus if he ever remarries and his wife has a child. Eamon seems to be the only one that believes there must be a Theirin on the throne. The other nobles don't seem to really care as long as the ruler is good at what they do and not a tyrant.
