Like I said I've pretty much never noticed any smell at all, besides one unfortunate incident... and I've been downtown a lot.

Well, I think men and women smell vastly different.  Women definately have their own scent.  I can tell the difference between male and female body order in a room full of people.  Perhaps I just have a hyper active scene of smell.  I can smell when a female is close to bleeding.  It smells more like hormones and a tad huskier for lack of better words.

There's next to zero difference between the mods which go to the core/override and the ones packed into their .dazip things, actually   They both replace and/or add files to the default game for the engine, the .dazip mods can just have optional script they run while active. But beyond that, they work the same.

Yup it can happen with both types -- if the mod adds an item with custom appearance, once you put this item on your character it is noted down in your save game. If you now remove/disable the mod, the next time you load the save which still has that item on your character the game won't be able to find the item in its files, and without knowing anymore what it's supposed to look like it just renders your body transparent/invisible.

Some of the custom items can do that outright too if they're made in wrong way, since there's a bug which makes the game unable to handle certain numbers in the custom item file. Results can vary from being invisible to game outright crashing. It'll happen with both types of the mod though since it's the data the mod carries that causes it, not the format of the mod.

What? Improves blood magic on an item in the game? Lifedrinker does it, and blood mages swear by it.
